Winterfest Medieval Fair, Sydney’s longest-running annual medieval event, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. With birds of prey swooping over the crowds, the clash of steel from the field of combat, and the thundering hooves and splintering of lances from the knights on horseback, guests are immersed in the fantastical and historical.
Some of Australia’s best artisans bring medieval-themed wares to the fair, with many of the merchants demonstrating their skills on-site. Fair-goers can watch roaming entertainers, try their hand at archery, wield a rapier or join in with the Knights’ School.
There will be a range of quality food and beverages, medieval crafts, undercover Fairy Garden with visiting unicorns, face painting and a colouring competition.
