AFTER a two-year hiatus, Opera in the Vineyards, the much-loved annual celebration of food, wine and opera, returns to Roche Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley in October.
Sopranos Natalie Aroyan and Greta Bradman will join star tenor David Hobson and special guest, tenor Richard Troxell from the US, to present a stunning program of romantic arias, duets and comic ensembles by Mozart, Rossini, Puccini and Verdi.
Maestro Brian Castles-Onion will return to compere proceedings.
Opera 3Spirits will soar as the stunning voices lead you on a journey through some of the most beautiful arias and duets ever written.
Even the "opera shy" will be familiar with the unforgettable masterpieces, brought to vibrant life with a full orchestra under the stars.
To add to the experience, guests can arrive early to savour the exceptional delights of some great local food and wine at the estate. Or head to the nearby Hunter Valley Gardens with more than 60 acres of spectacular display gardens, and stroll through the Hunter Gardens Shopping Village with its 20 boutique shops and cafes.
Then, as the sun slowly sets over the vines, take your seats in the magnificent open-air amphitheatre, glass of wine in hand, and relax into a night of musical magic.
