"Contesting Day" means an individual day during the Contesting Period. "Contesting Segment" means an individual Contesting Segment on a Contesting Day.
Entrants must be 18 years or older.
Entrants must be able to participate in Contesting Segments throughout the Contesting Period as per the Entry Procedure.
Entrants must be able to attend the hit105 Studios on Monday 22 August 2016 at Level 1, 309 North Quay Brisbane between 6am and 9am AEST, and, unless otherwise specified, must make their own way to and from this event.
Entry is only open to residents of Queensland
Entrants can enter as many times as they like
1. For the first Contesting Segment:
a. Entrants must listen to hit105 and telephone the station competition line on 13 10 60 following the broadcast of a cue to call.
b. The first caller through will be deemed the first Contestant and provisionally hold the Major Prize.
c. The Contestiant will participate on air, where the Promoter will ask them a trivia question which the Contestant must answer in the time frame stipulated by the Promoter.
i. If the Contestant answers the trivia question correctly and within the stipulated time frame, they will become the current “Carry Over Champion” and will be required to participate in the next on-air Contesting Segment to retain this title and stay in the running to win the Major Prize.
ii. If the Contestant does not answer the trivia question correctly within the stipulated time frame, they will be out of the running to win the Major Prize, and the Promoter will conduct another cue to call will to find a new Contestant who will go into the next Contesting Segment as the current “Carry Over Champion”.
2. For each of the following Contesting Segments (except the final Contesting Segment), the Promoter will call back the current “Carry Over Champion” who will participate on air as per step 1c above.
3. For the final Contesting Segment:
a. The current “Carry Over Champion” will be required to attend the hit105 studios.
b. The Promoter will broadcast a cue to call and the first caller through will be deemed the “Standby”.
c. The current “Carry Over Champion” will then be presented with a number of envelopes, each containing a different trivia question, and will be asked to select one (1) of the envelopes.
d. The Promoter will ask the “Carry Over Champion” the trivia question contained in the selected envelope, which they must answer in the time frame stipulated by the Promoter.
i. If the “Carry Over Champion” answers the trivia question correctly and within the stipulated time frame, they will be named the ‘Last Man Standing’ and will win the Major Prize.
ii. If the “Carry Over Champion” does not answer the trivia question correctly in the stipulated time frame, they will lose and the Standby will be named the “Last Man Standing” and will win the Major Prize.
All judging decisions are at the discretion of the Promoter and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
Judging criteria: All entries will be judged on creativity, literary merit, originality and suitability or as otherwise specified. Where entrants submit a guess or answer to question(s), the Promoter will judge the accuracy of an answer, and there may be a time factor applied.
