Enter to Win a Renault Clio by Supporting Local Margate Businesses
MBRIT CEO Shane Newcombe and Division 6 Councillor Koliana Winchester explain why buying local is so important, not only during Margate Shines but all the time.
“Small businesses are the bedrock of our communities. When small businesses thrive, they create real jobs, cohesive communities and strong economies. Although I realise that it’s not always possible to buy everything locally, when you can, I urge everyone to think locally first because each dollar you spend in a local business will make a difference,” expressed Shane Newcombe, MBRIT CEO.
“Margate is home to a wide and diverse range of businesses and the Margate Shines promotion gives people another reason to take advantage of what is available locally. I hope local residents will get behind our Margate business owners and the bonus of course, is the chance to win a brand new car,” urged Cr Koliana Winchester, the newly elected Councillor for Division 6.
