Broza’s passionate performances and blend of Flamenco percussion and rhythms with rock and roll sound has excited music lovers all around the world. Broza will star in two concerts at TBI’s Herman Sanger Centre in St Kilda on 16 and 17 November.
Broza, who has been variously dubbed “a post-modern Leonard Cohen”, the “Stevie Ray Vaughan of folk rock” and “the Israeli Bruce Springsteen”, has over 30 albums to his credit. He grew up in Israel, Spain and England, and his music, recorded in Hebrew, Spanish and English, reflects this eclectic heritage. His popularity surged in 1983 with his 5x platinum album in Hebrew, Haisha Sheiti (The Woman By My Side). His live albums recorded at the top of Masada in 1994 and 1999 also went platinum. He last toured 2012, and will appear in Sydney and Byron Bay after the two Melbourne concerts.
