Win a twin pack of Len Evans' timeless wine books
Two books from an elder statesmen of the Australian wine industry

Len Evans - blending the Centenary of Federation wineThe late Len Evans, one of Australia's greatest wine ambassadorsNot My Memoirs by Len EvansThe late Len Evans, one of Australia's greatest wine ambassadors

The late Len Evans, AO.OBE, was an elder statesmen of the wine industry in Australia and spent decades advancing its cause. He was a promoter, judge, taster, teacher, maker, writer and drinker of wine so when he reached his 70s and finally decided to distil his knowledge and experiences into two exceptional books: How to taste wine and Not My Memoirs, you just knew they would be exceptional.

And they could be yours.

We have three twin packs of these books to be won this month! They'll be drawn in the first week of December and could be the perfect festive gift for the wine lover in your life! You?!

These books are both highly recommended by VisitVineyards.com. Whether you're interested in the finer points of wine-tasting, the history and development of wine in Australia or simply keen on a thumping good read, these books should be on your reading list.

How to taste wine

After decades living and breathing wine, Len Evans finally penned How to taste wine and you knew it would be a guide to take notice of, not just at the time but as timeless advice.

One of the great things about this book is its concise nature. At just 100 pages, it's a deceptively simple guide that captures the very essence of wine tasting for the novice and perhaps refocuses on the essentials for the more experienced wine drinker.

Evans says that "life is too short to drink bad wine" and in her review, Robyn says that "A wine-lover’s life is too short not to own and use How to taste wine".

Enter below now and it could be top of your holiday season reading pile!

Not My Memoirs

With a life spanning over seven decades, with all but the first one or two devoted to wine, you would expect his memoirs to be a tome of gigantic proportions, but in his inimitable way, Len Evans strove to leave something that is uniquely him. Not My Memoirs is an anecdotal ramble through a life devoted to the production, promotion and of course, drinking of wine.

When Evans died suddenly in 2006, one obituary headline stated he was "an influence worth bottling" and as you read through the tales and observations in this book, written with humour and astute observations, it will become obvious this was indeed a true statement.

Enter below for your chance to win both these books by Len Evans AO. OBE.
