WIN A TRIP FOR TWO TO THE NBA ALL-STAR 2017
(“the Promotion”)
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry.
Promoter & Sponsors
The promoter is National Basketball League Pty Ltd (ABN 65 164 187 937) of Level 13, 10 Queens Road, Melbourne VIC 3004.
The sponsors are:
Adelaide Basketball Pty Ltd (ABN 71 605 955 431) of 44a Crittenden Rd, Findon, SA, 5023;
Feel The Bite Pty Ltd (ACN 165 172 930) of PO Box 875 Bungalow, Qld 4870;
Illawarra Hawks Pty Ltd (ABN 43 605 085 354) of PO Box 7083 Gwynneville 2500;
Melbourne United Basketball Club Pty Ltd (ABN 42 158 938 624) of Level 13, 10 Queens Road, Melbourne 3004;

(collectively “the Sponsors”).
Duration of Promotion
The Promotion begins at 9.00am on 21/11/2016
and closes at 11.59pm on 19/01/2017 (“Promotion Period”). Advertising of Promotion
The Promotion may be advertised through the Promoter, its advertising agencies, marketing affiliates, the Sponsors and selected charities.
Eligibility
Entry is free and is open to Australian residents over the age of 18 but excludes any employee of the Promoter, the Sponsors, or related companies, and any child, parent, spouse or sibling of such employee (“Eligible Entrant”).
Each Eligible Entrant must:
be able to travel between Monday 13th of February 2017 to Friday 24th of February 2017); and
have a valid Passport or VISA to enter and exit USA Employees or related to any employee (up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity) of NBA Properties, Inc., the National Basketball Association, its Member Teams and affiliates (collectively, “NBA Entities”) are disqualified from joining the promo.
How the Promotion works
Each Eligible Entrant receives one entry by:
submitting their details via nbl.com.au/allstars2017;
submitting their details via
www.nbl.tv/allstar Subscribing to of NBL.TV through nbl.tv,
(“Entry Pages”).
All exisiting NBL.TV subscriber of any pass (Free Pass, All Access Pass or Telstra Pass), will automatically be entered into this competition as of 9.00am on the 15/11/2016
Each Eligible Entrant (who must have first entered into the Promotion) can receive one additional entry into the draw each time they participate in one of the following activities as advertised by the Promoter or Sponsors:
(a) one of the Promoter’s or Sponsors’ radio or television challenges;
(b) one of the Promoter’s or Sponsors’ social media challenges;
(c) if the Eligible Entrant’s friend, introduced to the Promotion via the “Refer-a-friend” facility by the Eligible Entrant, enters into the Promotion. Please note there is a maximum of 5 additional entries that can be received by the Eligible Entrant and the Eligible Entrant will only receive an additional entry under the “Refer-a-friend” if the referred friend is not a subscriber of NBL.TV and has not already entered into the Promotion;
(d) one of the Promoter’s or Sponsors’ membership drives; and/or
(e) if the entrant downloads the FREE NBL APP and login to watch NBL.TV through the app.
Details of Prize
The prize awarded to the winner of the Promotion is:
2 x return economy airfares (an airline of the Promoter’s choosing) the Eligible Entrant’s nearest capital city in Australia to New Orleans, USA for the NBA ALL-STAR 2017 (from 17th of February to 19th of February 2017), inclusive of all compulsory fees, taxes and charges.
2 tickets to the NBA ALL-STAR 2017 for each of the days of the event; between 17 – 19 February 2017;
5 nights’ accommodation (minimum 3-star as determined by the accommodation operator) in the the host city for the NBA All-Star Game for 2 people (One twin share room or One Queen size bed).;
return airport transfers for 2 people in USA; andAUD$1,000 total spending money.The winner is responsible for all additional expenses which includes but not limited to travel expenses to and from the nearest capital city in Australia for departure; travel insurance; changes to return flights and dates (including compulsory fees, taxes and charges); additional baggage charges; tariffs; exchange rates fees and charges; Passport and Visa requirements and charges; additional accommodation costs and charges of any kind and additional spending money.
The prize outlined above must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash and is not transferrable. If the winner is unable to accept the prize, there will be a re-draw. The Promoter is not liable for any additional costs that may be incurred by the winner as a result of this trip including but not limited to meals, entertainment and gratuities.
All travel is provided in accordance with and subject to the terms and conditions of the travel agent selected by the Promoter and the relevant carrier or other service provider.
Compliance with immigration, passport, health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the winner.
The total prize is valued at $14,320.Please note, it is the winner’s sole responsibility to ensure that it is eligble to enter USA and have appropriate health and travel insurances of any kind that may be required. The Promotor shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage or costs incurred by the winner due to any unforeseeable delays or cancellation in flights, airport transfers and accommodations.
Draw
The draw will be conducted at 2.00pm on 20/01/2017 at National Basketball League Pty Ltd, Level 13, 10 Queens Road Melbourne
Notification
The winner will be notified in writing and by telephone within 1 business day of the draw. The winner’s name and suburb will be announced on the Promoter’s website on 28/01/2017 and also published in The Australian on 03/02/2017.
Unclaimed Prize
If any prize is not claimed within 1 week of the draw, the relevant winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a further draw at 10.00 am (Melbourne time) on 27/01/2017 at the same location as the original draw as necessary to award the prize, subject to any written directions given by the relevant gaming authorities. The unclaimed prize draw winner will be notified in writing and also published in The Australian on 26 February 2017.
10. The winner of this prize must sign a winners waiver form
11.General conditions
The Promoter may require the winner to provide proof of identity, age and proof of residency prior to awarding the prize.
The winning entrant authorises the Promoter to use their name and photograph for publicity purposes and agrees to reasonably co-operate with the Promoter in publicising the Promotion.
If at any time the Promoter considers in good faith that that an entry breaches these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to refuse an entry into the draw at their discretion. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
If a winning entry does not comply with these conditions of entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of the prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry.
Each Eligible Entrant agrees that by entering into this competition, the Promoter will be permitted to market the promoter’s and sponsors’ products and services to the Eligible Entrant using the Eligible Entrant’s entry details.
If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, mobile network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the relevant authorities in each state and territory, where required.
The Promoter collects personal information (“PI“) in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers (Shop a Docket) and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at
www.nbl.com.au/privacy-policy/. In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Unless specified otherwise, the Promoter may disclose entrant’s personal information to any entity outside of Australia (see Promoter’s Privacy Policy for details).
