The Chronicle – Rugby Tens Competition
THE COMPETITION
By entering this competition (‘the competition’), Contestants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Contestants must be permanent Queensland residents to be eligible to enter and reside in the distribution area of The Chronicle, Toowoomba.
Contestants must be aged 18 years and over at the time of entry to be eligible.
Any contestant should be available to attend the event outlined in Prizes.
If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and anything else that refers to this competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.

ENTRY
To enter, Contestants must obtain the original entry form published in The Chronicle between January 25, 2017 and January 31, 2017.
The Entry form must be original newsprint.
Photocopies, scanned images, web/digital prints, reproductions or other falsified artwork will not be accepted.
The entry form must be completed in full and placed in an envelope addressed to The Chronicle – Rugby Tens Competition; then:
Send to: PO Box 42, Toowoomba, QLD 4350; or
Deliver to: 109 Neil Street, Toowoomba, Qld, 4350.
Entries must be received within the Promotion Period (see Clause 15).
Contestants may submit more than one entry, however, there is only one prize.
One original entry form per standard envelope will be deemed a valid entry.
While entry is free, contestants are responsible for any cost associated with posting or delivering entries.
PROMOTION PERIOD
The competition commences on Wednesday January 25, 2017 and closes at 5:00pm AEST Monday February 6, 2017 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received outside the Promotion Period will be deemed invalid.
PRIZES
One (1) winner will be selected via random draw from all valid entries received. The winner will receive:
A two (2) day pass for four (4) people to the Rugby Tens at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday February 11 and Sunday February 12, 2017. RRP $1,125.00 (incl. of GST).
Overnight accommodation for 4 people at Rydges South Bank, in a King Suite, including a private bedroom with a King Bed and a separate lounge with a Queen Sofa Bed.
Check in is valid for the night of February 12, 2017 only.
Two day pass to the Rugby Tens is only valid for February 11 and February 12, 2017 and cannot be used for any other event.
The winner must collect their prize from The Chronicle office by 10:00am AEST Friday February 10, 2017.
Prizes that remain uncollected at this time will be placed in an uncollected prize redraw at 10:30am AEST Friday February 10, 2017 and another winner drawn as per these terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions for Rugby Tens may apply.
Terms and conditions for accommodation and stay at Rydges may apply. The winner should confirm details of their stay with Rydges South Bank.
A Credit Card may be required upon check-in to Rydges South Bank.
The prize cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred or exchanged.
The prize cannot be split and must be taken as a whole in a single booking.
If lost or stolen, the voucher will not be replaced.
The holder of the voucher cannot on-sell or auction the prize for any monetary benefit.
Any additional accommodation bookings are at the expense of the winner.
The accommodation is for room only, as shown and does not include any further accommodation, meals, beverages, trips, excursions or Mini Bar purchases.
Total maximum retail value of the prize pool is $1,125.00 (inclusive of GST).
All prizes are valued inclusive of GST and shown as Recommended Retail Price and the Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in item values.
Any taxes that may apply to the winning of this prize are the responsibility of the winner.
The winner is responsible for any incidentals or anything charged to the accommodation.
If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a prize of similar nature and/or like or greater value.
ELIGIBILITY LIMITATIONS
The following persons are ineligible to enter. Contestants must be 18 years of age and over to be eligible to enter.
Employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter as far as they are directly associated with this competition;
The spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household);
Contestants who have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win any contest run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name.
All Contestants acknowledge that even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the Promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person, it may require the return of the prize or payment of its value to the Promoter to be dealt with as an unclaimed prize.
PRIZE DRAW
The prize winners will be selected via a random draw at The Chronicle office, 109 Neil Street, Toowoomba Qld on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at 9:00am AEST and prizes awarded following winner validation and verification. The winner will be contacted by telephone.
Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner’s details will be published in The Chronicle Public Notices on Wednesday February 8, 2017.
All Contestants acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to publicise and publish his/her name, character and likeness.
All contest winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by the Promoter and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit without compensation to the Contestant.
PRIZE COLLECTION
Prizes must be claimed in person from The Chronicle office and Government issued Photo ID is required for residency and identity purposes.
Any winner must complete a Competition Release Form to confirm collection of their prize.
The winner is solely responsible for collecting their prize.
PROMOTER’S LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
31. The Promoter is not responsible for the loss of prizes due to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner. The Promoter also takes no responsibility for prizes lost or stolen after they have been released for delivery via postage or courier.
32. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes.
33. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained by any person and including, but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s) and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winners.
PRIVACY
34. All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter and its related parties, subject to the limits contained in the Privacy Statement and as set out in these terms and conditions.
35. The Promoter and its related parties, also collect personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may use and disclose such information in accordance with its privacy policy

36. To facilitate your participation, the Promoter may disclose your personal information to other companies associated with this promotion.
