Win 1 of 5 double passes to The Living End with hampersAustralian punk rockers The Living End will make their Zoo Twilights debut in 2017 in their ‘Twangin’ at Twilight’ performance, which will see the band accompanied by a string quartet and special guest Dan Sultan, and give fans the opportunity to hear some of the trio’s smash hits reworked into acoustic numbers as well as a cover or two.
One of Australia’s leading rock acts The Living End have come a long way since forming in high school and busking the streets of Melbourne. The three-piece, comprised of Chris Cheney, Scott Owen and Andy Strachan, has had two #1 albums, achieved 4x Platinum sales of their debut album, plus three Platinum and two Gold certified albums. Their latest album Shift (2016) debuted at #4 on the ARIA chart, and saw Rolling Stone declare them “one of the few Australian bands whose commercial and alterna-whatever appeal remains undiminished through the past two decades.” The band was awarded APRA’s Australian Song of the Year in 2009 for ‘White Noise’, plus have received 27 ARIA Award nominations and taken out six wins.
The Living End will play Zoo Twilights in support of Zoos Victoria and their fight to save the Eastern Barred Bandicoot from extinction.
