HOW TO ENTER
1. The Good Guys ‘Kitchen Star’ Competition will be open from 10:00am AEDT Tuesday 28 February 2017 to 11.59pm AEST Monday 1 May 2017 inclusive (“Competition Period”).
2. To be eligible to enter the Kitchen Star Competition to Win $20,000 entrants must go to
https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/kitchen-star fill out all details (name, address, email address and phone number) on the entry form and vote for their favourite contestant cooking challenge video prior to applicable Challenge closing.
3. Contestant cooking challenge videos will be located for viewing at

5. Entrants can vote a minimum of one (1) time and a maximum of six (6) times during the Kitchen Star competition period per valid phone number, however only one entry per challenge is permitted.
6. All entrants of the Kitchen Star competition will also automatically go into a weekly draw to win one (1) of two (2) $100 The Good Guys gift cards. This does not exclude entrants from winning the $20,000 major prize.

The Good Guys Kitchen Star Competition Terms and Conditions
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Instructions on How to Enter form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Competition is only open to Australian residents at least 18 years of age at time of entry who have a valid Australian bank account.
3. The winner of the Kitchen Star Competition to win $20,000 will be chosen at random by Handling Matters (1-3 Green St, Brookvale NSW 2100) on Tuesday 2 May 2017 at 12:00pm and the winner will be notified via phone at 12.00pm on Wednesday 3 May 2017.
4. The $20,000 prize will be in the form of a direct deposit into the competition winner’s nominated Australian bank account. The prize will be transferred into the winner’s nominated Australian bank account (only an Australian bank account will be accepted) within 14 working days of being notified.
5. The winner of the $20,000.00 surname and suburb will be published on The Good Guys website at
http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/winners no later than 3 working days after draw date and for a minimum of 28 days.
6. The Good Guys $100 Gift Card winners will be notified via email that they have won and emailed their $100 The Good Guys Gift Card the next business day from the draw date. The email will be sent to the winners email address provided when entering the competition.
7. The Good Guys Gift Card will expire 12 (twelve) months from date of issue.
8. Please treat this The Good Guys Gift Card like cash. Defaced mutilated, altered, lost or stolen cards will not be replaced, refunded or redeemed. This card is: Redeemable for merchandise or services at participating The Good Guys stores only; Not redeemable for cash and cannot be used for payment of credit or retailer accounts; Must be redeemed before expiry date shown on the card; Will be void and may not be redeemable after expiry date; Cannot be reloaded; is partially redeemable. It is up to you to use the full value before expiry date. Cash will not be given for any unused balance. Unused balance on expiry of this card will not be refunded or credited. If purchase exceeds available card balance, you must make up the difference with another payment method. You are liable for all transactions on your card except to the extent to which there has been fraud or negligence by us or any of our employees. Check available balance by calling 1300 55 33 80. 9. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the entrant must comply with all the terms and conditions.
10. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries not received by the Promoter or delays due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.
11. Employees of any The Good Guys stores (and their immediate families) and agencies associated with this Competition are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.

12. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of any entry and of entrant (including proof of an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
13. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the entrant will be deemed to be the person who has submitted the entry provided that the person is an Australian resident over the age of 18 years.
14. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
15. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the Competition Period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter.
16. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
18. If this Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, website maintenance or any causes beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate.
19. Any cost associated with accessing and entering the Competition online is the Entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an Entrant to automatically claim repeatedly is prohibited and will render all Entries submitted by that Entrant invalid.
20. If any Prize (or part of any Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a Prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any necessary or applicable written directions from a regulatory authority.
21. Prizes, or any unused portion of a Prize, are not transferable.
22. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) shall incur no liability (including due to negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential to any person or property, arising in any way out of the Competition. The promoter is committed to maintaining your privacy, and we want you to understand how we use and manage your data. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, offer suppliers and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities; entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period unless otherwise advised, use the information for Competition, marketing and publicity purposes including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrant should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries and claims become the property of the Promoter.

24. The Promoter and their subsidiaries and companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications; line failure; theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserve the right to take any action that may be available.
