Competition commences Monday 6th February 2017 at 12:00pm (AEDT).
Competition closes on Monday 27th February 2017 at 12pm (AEDT).
During the overall contesting period (Monday 6th February – Monday 27th February), the listed stations will encourage listeners to visit their local station website register their details by completing an online form and in 25 words or less tell us ‘What your ultimate Mardi Gras anthem is and why?’
Entrants must be a registered user on iHeartRadio to be eligible to enter.
MAJOR PRIZE
There will be a maximum of one (1) major prize, consisting of:
Two (2) x Return economy airfares from the winners nearest capital city to Sydney, for the winner and one guest;*
Hotel accommodation for one (1) night at a minimum 4 star hotel, for the winner and one guest in one hotel room*
Return airport/hotel transfers*
Two (2) tickets to attend the Mardis Gras Party 2017 at
the Hordern Pavillion, Sydney, Saturday 4th March
*this element of the prize will not be awarded to prize winners from NSW.
Please note that if a prize comprises tickets or attendance at any function or event, the Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability in respect of the function or event. Should the function or event be cancelled, postponed or otherwise varied, including but not limited to by the substitution of the promoted performers, then the Promoter has no responsibility to provide alternate or substitute tickets or to provide any cash equivalent in substitute for the tickets.
Please note the major winner and their guest must travel together and must leave from the winners nearest capital city as specified in their entry.
The major winner and their guest must be available to travel at a time determined by the Promoter between Friday 3rd March and Sunday 5th March 2017. The total nights spent in Sydney will be one (1) nights so the winner may not be away for the entire time specified above. Exact travel dates are subject to airline availabilities.
The total prize pool will not exceed a value of: $2,200.00
Entrants may enter as many times as they like, however must provide a separate entry form for each entry and a separate answer to the 25 words or less question.
The promotion is not open to:
(a) employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter or any of its agencies involved with the Promotion;
(b) the spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, or sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent) of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household);
(c) any person who is discovered to have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win any Promotion run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name;
(d) any person where that person or anyone from the same family or household has won a prize or prizes from the Promoter or any radio station that is a member of the Australian Radio Network, valued either individually or collectively at more than $50 in the 30 days prior to the commencement of the Promotion.
(e) Employees of any other radio stations, including the Australian Radio Network.
All entrants must be 18 years or over to enter the competition and/or claim their prize.
One (1) Major prize winner will be selected from all eligible entries received during the active contesting period. Each valid entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter) based on, among other things, its creativity.
The final decision is at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered in to.
The winners will be judged between AEST 12:00pm and 05:00pm Monday 27th February 2017.

No cash or alternative prize or opportunity will be awarded in lieu of that element.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend the contesting period at its absolute discretion; the Promoter reserves the right to terminate the competition subject to any direction from a regulatory authority.
Should any elements of the prize be changed, moved, cancelled or not available for any unforseen reason, the Promoter takes no responsibility and the Prize Winners will not be compensated.

A selection of song dedications (entries) will be read out live on our Mardi Gras Radio custom radio station within the iHeartRadio app; by entering this promotion you consent to us announcing
your dedication and your name, should you not want us to announce your dedication/name, please ensure you tick the appropriate box on the entry form.
Tickets cannot be on sold and if found to be, the tickets will be cancelled.
Entry to the event may be subject to the presenter’s and/or Venue’s rules
If the event is cancelled for any reason, the tickets will not be transferable for any other prize.
Prizes awarded are subject to availability and are at the complete discretion of the Promoter.
Travel conditions
The major winner will be required to sign a travel indemnity.
Contact details provided in the entry form will be provided to an ARN Travel Partner for the purpose of awarding the major prize only unless specified otherwise.
The winner (and their travelling companion) is responsible for all other expenses not listed above including but not limited to meals (other than those specified), incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, room service, phone calls, gratuities, optional activities and excursions, freight, excess baggage, ground transport, visas, spending money, travel insurance and all transfers, including travel costs to and from their closest capital city airport if the winner is from a regional area. A credit card imprint may be required at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges.
All prize travel will be subject to the carrier’s General Conditions of Carriage. The Promoters and carrier make no representations as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. By entering this Competition, and by collecting the prize, the winner acknowledges and accepts that driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses.
The prize winner’s guest must be over 18.
The prize winner’s flights may not be direct flights to the destination and may involve a stopover
The major winner and guest must both travel from the major winners closet capital city as specified in their entry.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, The Promoter and its Sponsor (including the Sponsor’s officers, employees and agents) are not liable to You in respect of any Loss however it is caused (including, without limitation, Loss arising from any Loss Event), which You suffer or incur or which arises directly or indirectly in respect of You accepting this offer of a Prize, making arrangements to embark on any travel or other elements or part comprising the Prize or undertaking or participating in any part of the Prize, including if the Loss is as a result of a failure or omission on the part of the promoter, or any service provider involved in providing the Prize or any elements of the Prize or any other person or entity.
When entering this Promotion, you agree to release Optus Administration Pty Ltd from all liability and claims arising out of or in connection with the Promotion, the Prize or these terms and conditions.
Travel must be taken on the date to be specified by the Promoter/ is subject to black-out period as specified by the Prize Provider. If a winner and travelling companion are, for whatever reason, unable to travel during these dates or do not take an element of the prize within the time stipulated, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner.
