Signature Media Competition Terms and Conditions
Outlined here is the information that pertains to general entries into all Signature Media competitions. They cover promotions via all affiliated publications, such as Holidays with Kids, Signature Luxury Travel and Lifestyle, Five Star Kids, LATTE and Signature Spa. Participation in any promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
For entries to be considered they must be received by the set due date outlined by the competition promotion. All requirements, such as completing a survey or submitting an answer, must be completed in order for entries to be valid.
Employees (and their immediate families) of Signature Media and its associated agencies with any promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
Only one entry per person will be permitted. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
Signature Media reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at Signature Media’s discretion. Failure by Signature Media to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Any additional costs associated with redeeming a prize are not included.
All prizes must be taken as offered. Prizes, or any unused portion, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash unless otherwise specified. Prizes are valued in Australian dollars. Signature Media accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their prize.
Prizes that encompass an external company component (such as a hotel, airline or cruise company), must work within the parameters of the external company. Prizes are subject to black-out periods and availability. Changes to bookings may arise at the discretion of these external companies, and Signature Media is not responsible for any changes to flight times, flight dates, booking changes, room availabilities and other booking inclusions that are beyond its control.
Signature Media is not responsible for passport or travel requirements when leaving the country.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
In the event that a prize, or part of a prize, is unavailable, Signature Media reserves the right to substitute the prize or part of the prize in its discretion with an alternative prize or part of the prize.
Signature is neither responsible nor liable for any late, lost or misdirected mail (including but not limited to prizes).
Signature Media is neither responsible nor liable for any prize damaged in transit during its delivery.
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, Signature Media (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Signature Media’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Signature Media (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
If a promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control, Signature Media reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
