Entrants and any companions (if applicable) must be: 18 years of age or over.
Entrants may submit as many entries as they wish however each entry must be submitted via a separate entry and must independently comply with these Competition Terms of Entry.
For the avoidance of doubt, unless otherwise expressly stated, entrants may only win one (1) minor prize each if applicable in the Promotion and will have one (1) entry in the Major Draw.
Phone entry/trivia question:
At various times during the Promotion Period:
(a) Entrants will be invited by the Promoter to call 13 24 10 during a specific time period;
(b) From the entrants who successfully call during the specified time period the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) will randomly select two (2) entrants and invite them to appear on air as a selected entrant (Selected Entrant).
On Air Challenge
(a) ForeachOnAirChallenge,ThePromoterwillhaveuptothree(3)predeterminedtriviaquestions.
(b) The Selected Entrants will need to say their names first when asked to answer each of the three (3) trivia questions on air, using their name as their buzzer (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion).
(c) The Selected Entrant to say their name first when asked a question (as determined by the promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) will get the first chance to answer the question.
(d) TheSelectedEntrantmustanswerthequestioncorrectlywithinfive(5)seconds(inthepromoters sole and absolute discretion) to be awarded one (1) point. If the Selected Entrant does not answer the question correctly (as determined by the promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) the other Selected Entrant will automatically be awarded one (1) point for that question.
(e) The promoter will continue this process for each On Air Challenge until the three (3) questions have been asked.
(f) Should the challenge end in a tie-breaker a fourth (4) trivia question will be asked to determine a Minor Prize winner. The Promoter will continue to ask trivia questions until a winner is determined (in its sole and absolute discretion).
The Selected Entrant with the most points (in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) will be awarded one (1) Minor Prize and one (1) entry for the Major Draw.
Social Media Entry
During the Promotion Period, the promoter (at its sole and absolute discretion) may invite entrants to enter via:

(a) Invite entrants to login to their personal Facebook account and visit the Promoter’s Facebook page at
https://www.facebook.com/nova1069/ ; and
(b) follow the instructions on Nova’s Fillies, Fame and Fashion Promotional Facebook wall post via the Promoter’s Facebook page; and
(c) ‘comment’ on the Facebook post as stated in the post.
All valid entries received by the nominated time will be placed into the social media entry draw, as set out below under Draw Details.
Entrants must have their Facebook security settings to level that allows the Promoter to contact them (via a private message), in the event that the entrant is a winner.
The entrant needs to respond to the promoter by the specified time period to be deemed a winner.
Major Draw
Between 6am – 9am AEST on Friday 26th May, representative of the Promoter will:
(a) Conduct the random electronic Major Prize Draw (in accordance with the Draw Details below):
(b) Contact the Selected Entrant whose valid entry is drawn first in the random electronic Major Prize Draw
(c) If the selected Entrant successfully answers their personal Contact Number within five (5) rings or by the time it goes to voicemail (the earlier of) and successfully appears on-air (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion), they will be deemed the winner and receive the Major Prize (in the absolute and sole discretion of the Promoter);
(d) If the selected Entrant does not successfully answer their phone in accordance with clause above or if their phone is turned off, engaged, the phone line drops out, they are inaudible or they are unreachable for any reason; the Promoter may (in its sole and absolute discretion) contact the Selected Entrant whose valid entry is drawn next (in accordance with the Draw Details, in the Promoters sole and absolute discretion) by phone (on their Personal Contact Number) and invite them to appear on air.
(e) This process will be repeated until a Selected Entrant successfully answers their phone in accordance with clause (c) above and is deemed the Major Prize winner and awarded the Major Prize (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion).
Guesses must be made on airEntrants may only submit guesses on-air as specified in the Entry Method. Guesses submitted in any other way will be deemed invalid, as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion.
Entrant must answer a call live on air to win the Major Prize
Each entrant must nominate a personal contact number, either a personal mobile number or home phone number (and not a business number), to be eligible for the Major Prize (Personal Contact Number) and grants the Promoter the right to call that entrant on their Personal Contact Number live on air.
Entrants in the Promotion must be able to receive a phone call from a representative of the Promoter (on their Personal Contact Number) between the following timeframe (or such other time specified by the Promoter) and in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Entry Method to be eligible to be awarded the Major Prize:
7.30 am AEST and 9am AEST on Friday 26 May 2017
If the entrant does not answer their phone within five (5) rings or by the time that phone goes to a message bank (whichever comes first) the promoter will move onto the next valid entry drawn (in its sole and absolute discretion).
The entrant consents to the Promoter broadcasting that entrant's voicemail message including their full name and/or business name live on air. Each entrant warrants that it has obtained all consents from third parties to broadcast live-air any information or names (including business names) in the entrant’s voicemail message.
Each entrant warrants that they have received all consents from third parties that may ordinarily answer their Personal Contact Number in the entrant's absence to be broadcast live on-air if that third party answers the relevant phone live on-air. If a third party answers an entrant's Personal Contact Number, that entrant will not be eligible for a prize as determined by the Promoter in its absolute and sole discretion.
Replacing Phone-In and On-Air Entrants
If for any reason an entrant is unable to be contacted, or is otherwise unable to, or declines to, appear on air, or their phone line drops out or is inaudible, the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) may replace that entrant by contacting another entrant and inviting them to appear on air or participate in an on-air game or challenge (where applicable). The Promoter will repeat this process until an entrant is able to be contacted and confirms their eligibility and ability to appear on air or participate in the relevant on-air game or challenge (where applicable).
Calling in and speaking to Promoter
For the avoidance of doubt, if an entrant is spoken to by a representative of the Promoter, it does not mean they have been selected as an entrant or a winner (where applicable) and they may not be invited to appear on air or participate in the relevant on-air game or challenge or be awarded a Prize (where applicable).
Entrant must appear on-air
For the avoidance of doubt, entrants must appear on air during the Promotion Period to be deemed a winner and awarded a Prize.
Social Media Entry into the Major Draw:
One (1) social media entry will be drawn by 12pm AEST, Thursday 25 May 2017 at Nova 106.9, Level 3 / 130 Commercial Road Teneriffe. The entrant drawn will be added to the Major Draw for the avoidance of doubt this entrant will not receive a minor prize.
Major Draw
All valid entries will be placed into a random electronic prize draw and the promoter will select one winner by 9am AEST Friday 26 May 2017 at the Promoter’s premises.
Minor Prize:
There is up to seventy-five (75) minor prizes to be won comprising of:
Two (2) General Admission tickets to one of the various race days, for the avoidance of doubt Minor Prize winners will be awarded a prize as specified below based on the date they are awarded a minor prize (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion). Each Minor Prize is valued up to $40 (incl GST) as follows:
- Week commencing 8th May, James Boag’s Premium 10,000 Day, Saturday 13th May; or
- Week commencing 15th May, Hardy Brothers Doomben Cup, Saturday 20th May; or
- Week commencing 22nd May, Darley Kingsford Smith Cup, Saturday 27th May.
Major Prize:
There is one (1) Major Prize to be won valued up to $22,550 (incl GST) comprising of:
- Ten (10) tickets to The Bird Cage, valued at $755 per ticket, at UBET Stradbroke Day, Saturday 10th June
- $5,000 cash to be electronically transferred into the winners nominated bank account; or should the winner have a UBET account the cash will be electronically transferred into the winner’s nominated UBET account as determined by the Major

Major Prize must be taken on certain dates
Entrants and their companion/s (where applicable) must be able to take the Prize on 10 June 2017. Dates and schedules of the prizes are not under the Promoter’s control and are subject to change. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any date or schedule changes.
