The promoter reserves the right to amend the contesting period.
a) The competition is open to all ages, however entrants under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter the competition and the Promoter reserves the right to award any prize to the parent/guardian.
Entry Restrictions for Challengers under the age of 15 years old:
b) Entries must be lodged by a person (Entrant) 18 years of age or over at the time of entry who is a parent or legal guardian of the minor Challenger they are entering on behalf of if the Challenger is under 15 years of age
c) Challengers under the age of 15 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times whilst undertaking the challenge and participating in this competition.
d) If selected, the Entrant’s details as well as the Challenger will be submitted to the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources to apply for a Child Employment Permit in accordance with the VIC Government requirements.
It is a condition of entry in the competition that all legal and regulatory requirements of the VIC Government are satisfied in respect of each Entrant and Minor Competitor. All paper work must be signed by a parent or legal guardian where applicable.
If required, the Challenger must obtain a School Exemption form from their school principal (form supplied by ARN).
e) If paperwork is not completed and returned within the timeframe required by ARN the Entrant and Challenger will be deemed ineligible to compete and removed from the competition.
Entries must only include the Entrant and their parent/guardian (if under 18) and must not contain any material which is obscene, defamatory, inappropriate or infringe any third-party rights, not limited to privacy and intellectual property rights.
Online entry:
During the Competition Period:
* (a) listeners will be invited via Station on-air commercials and in
show solicits to visit the Station Website/s and complete the online entry form including but not limited to providing their contact details and by uploading a 60 second video (length at the promotors discretion) of themselves doing their best Dave “Hughesy” Hughes Impersonation within the time period specified on each day;
* (b) each entry submitted by the time specified by the Station will be individually reviewed by representatives of the Station. The Station will select the entry it deems to be the “best” from all valid entries received within the time period specified. The Station will then contact up to five (5) relevant entrants to invite them to come on air during the Hughesy & Kate show, they may be asked to repeat their online entry submission on air (Segment may be pre-recorded or live)
* (c) if the relevant entrant tells their story on air and/or successfully delivers their best Dave “Hughesy” Hughes impersonation (as determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion) , they will be deemed the winner for that day and will be invited to take part in the Challenge/s.
Entrants may submit as many entries as they wish however each entry must be submitted via a separate online entry form and include a different video and only one entry can be chosen to go on air
Registration: Each day during the Competition Period, the Station will encourage registration by potential challengers via in show airtime. Entrants must enter in accordance with item 9 ‘How to Enter’ above.
The Station will select up to five (5) challengers who it believes, based on valid registrations received:
* (a) have an appeal for radio;
* (b) are capable of performing the challenges on the Challenge Date/s; and
* (c) are consistent with the Station’s style of irreverence and humour.
Up to five (5) finalists who have been selected by Hughesy & Kate will be required to complete one or more Challenges as set by Hughesy & Kate. Each weekday during the Competition Period, the Station will conduct challenges at various times as specified by the Station. The challenges set may differ and will be at the promotors discretion. They may involve such things as impersonating Hughesy and/or convincing others that you are the real Dave Hughes amongst other things as determined by representatives of the Station.
If the challenger satisfactorily completes the challenge/s within the time specified and in accordance with any other criteria for success as specified by the Station, the challenger will be eligible to win the Major prize. Should the challenger refuse, or fail to satisfactorily complete the challenge within the time specified, they will forgo any prize and the Station will not be required to conduct the challenge again. The Station’s decision as to the result of the challenge is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Challenge dates between Monday 22nd May 2017 – Thursday 26th May 2017 as time specified by the Promoter.
Challenge location: Over the phone or at a location as determined by the Promoter.
Challengers may be required to complete and sign an indemnity/waiver prior to taking part in any challenge.
At the completion of the challenge, the Promoter will select the entry or entries it deems the ‘best’ and that entry or entries will win the Major Prize.
12. Judging Criteria
Each valid entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter) based on, among other things: Creativity, originality, humour, suitability for radio, similarity in voice to Hughesy
13: Prize Details
There is one (1) major prize to be won, as follows: Major prize: valued at up to $5,000 cash (inc GST)

15: Winner Notification
Winners will be notified:
* - via telephone
* - on air at the time of winning
16: Prize Claim and Delivery
Prize must be claimed within three (3) months of winning on air.
Winners who do not answer their phone when contacted will forfeit the prize and another winner may be selected.
The prize will be transferred to the winner’s nominated bank account
via electronic funds transfer (or to the nominated bank account of the winner’s parent/guardian if the winner is under 18 years of age).
Photos/Videos and other material submitted as part of Entry
By entering this competition, Entrants agree that:
* All photos, videos or other material submitted as part of their
entry and owned by them;
* Materials do not contain images or copyright materials of
anyone else unless they have the express consent of that
person(s);
* Materials do not contain anything which is (as determined by
the Promoter in its discretion) obscene, defamatory, or
otherwise inappropriate.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter reserves the right to invalidate any entry which does not meet the criteria above.
By entering this competition, Entrants grant to the Promoter a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty free licence to use the materials for the purposes of conducting the competition and for marketing and promotional purposes.
