All travel is subject to availability at all times and may be dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with accommodation partner.
Travel is valid From 01 October 2017 to 31 October 2018 only and must be booked for a weekend with arrival date on a Friday and departure on a Monday and excludes dates between 14 December 2017 to 28 December 2017. Redemption of the prize is subject to availability and may be dependent on travel class availability, specific room category availability, tour availability (including tram car and wineries), any applicable supplier or Promoter representative availability and travel “blackout” periods apply (including but not limited to Australian school holidays, public holidays, special events and national days and festivals.) All bookings must be made a minimum of 45 days in advance of requested departure dates. All bookings and documentation regarding the prize must be made via Andrew Jones Travel or their agents.
Redeeming the prize is conditional on acceptance of the terms and conditions of travel as detailed by Andrew Jones Travel and the airline carriers in accordance with normal travel practices. No portion of the prize is redeemable for cash. The prize is non refundable or transferable.
The winner’s companion must be over the age of 18. The Promoter reserves the right to request a winner’s travel companion (if any) to produce within the requested time appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoter’s satisfaction, in its sole discretion) in order to confirm the travel companion’s identity and age before issuing a prize.
The Promoter is not responsible for cancellation, delays or changes to flights or any part of the prize or for the inability of a prize winner to take up any part of the prize due to problems with flights, travel or other factor outside the Promoter’s control.
Subject to the approval process required by any relevant gaming or lotteries authority, in the event that a prize item is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and/or if necessary, to provide an alternative prize or prizes to the same value as an original prize(s), subject to regulatory approval.
The winner (and their companion) is responsible for all other expenses including spending money over what is stated, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (excluding departure and any other flight associated taxes included within the prize), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Prize winner and travel companion must have valid travel insurance for their period of travel.
The winner and their travelling companion must travel at the same time, must depart from the same capital city and are responsible for transport from their residence to the airport in their nearest capital city for flight departure.
To the full extent permitted by the law neither the Promoter nor any of their associated agencies accepts any liability for any injury, damages, expenses or loss whatsoever (whether direct or consequential) to persons or property arising from or in connection with this offer.
It is the traveller’s personal responsibility to ensure that they have valid documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the traveller/s.
Air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of each airline and are subject to seasonal embargos. Flight itinerary may have to be adjusted depending on the airlines departure city and their current flight schedule. Frequent Flyer points are not available from any airline.
If winner is from Victoria, airfares will be replaced with private transfer for two (2) people from winner’s place of residence within Victoria.
A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges. Once accommodation vouchers are issued they are non-changeable.
The prize draw will take place at Red Jelly, 34-36 Elizabeth Street, Hobart TAS 7000 on 12pm (noon) AEST on Friday 14th July 2017.
The first (1) valid entry randomly drawn will be the winner of the prize. The prize winner will be contacted in writing (by email) and the winners’ details will be published online at mydanmurphys.com.au and the winner’s first initial, surname and State of residence in the Public Notices section of The Australian newspaper by Friday 21st July 2017. If the winning entry is invalid, that entry will be discarded and the prize will be awarded by randomly drawing another entry in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry.
In the event that there is a dispute concerning the competition, the judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not claim or redeem the prize within three (3) months of the prize draw, the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize. The Promoter, after allowing reasonable and fair time and having pursued all reasonable endeavours, may conduct such further draws at the same place as the original draw as may be necessary to distribute the prize in the draw which is unclaimed subject to any written direction given under state regulations.
The unclaimed prize draw will take place at 12pm (noon) AEST on Friday 20th October 2017 at Red Jelly, 34 – 36 Elizabeth Street, Hobart, 7000. In the case of an unclaimed prize draw the winner will be notified by phone, in writing (via email), on mydanmurphys.com.au and published in The Australian by Friday 27th October 2017.
Entrants can only enter in their own name. Entrants who provide incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information are ineligible to participate in the competition and all entries of an entrant who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information may, at the discretion of the Promoter, be deemed invalid.
The Promoter reserves the right to request the entrant to produce within the requested time appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoter’s satisfaction, in its sole discretion) in order to confirm the entrant’s identity, age, residential address, eligibility to enter and claim a prize, and any information submitted by the entrant in entering the competition, before issuing a prize. If the documentation required by the Promoter is not received by the Promoter or an entrant or entry has not been verified or validated to the Promoter’s satisfaction then all the entries of that entrant will be ineligible and deemed invalid.
If the Promoter forms the view in its sole discretion that an entry or the entry process for any entrant has been tampered with or otherwise does not comply with these rules or the My Dan Murphy’s program terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify that entry.
If for any reason the Promoter determines in good faith and its sole discretion that this competition is not capable of running as planned due to any agent or event beyond the control of the Promoter, which might corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition or which may change the intended result or prevent or hinder its determination, the Promoter, at its discretion and subject to relevant state and territory regulations, may cancel the competition at any time and recommence it on similar terms and conditions when and as determined by the Promoter.
