Win one of three double passes to Bangarra Dance Theatre’s Bennelong at QPAC
Bangarra Dance Theatre returns to Queensland Performing Arts Centre from 25 August to 2 September with its latest work Bennelong, a poignant tribute to one of the most mythologised and celebrated individuals from the days of First Contact.
Created by acclaimed Bangarra Dance Theatre Artistic Director Stephen Page, Bennelong is his first full-length work to show in Brisbane in three years, and unravels the story of the first Aboriginal statesman. Through the company’s transformative dance theatre language, Stephen will explore the fascinating life of Woollarawarre Bennelong, a senior man of the Eora and namesake of Bennelong Point, where the Sydney Opera House now stands.
