Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over.
Directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate are ineligible to enter.
The Competition commences at 12:00pm (AEDT) on Saturday 16th September 2017 and closes at 11:59pm (AEDT) on Sunday 22nd October 2017 (“Promotional Period”). All entries must be received by the Promoter within the Promotional Period.
The Prize, Draw and Notifications
To be eligible for the Competition entrants must:

At the conclusion of the Promotion Period the best overall entry will be selected as winner of the Major Prize of the Promotion by a panel appointed by the Promoter (Winner) and the next 4 best entries will be judged runner-up, at the Promoter’s sole discretion. Each entry will be judged on inspirational, unique and creative merits. This is a competition of skill and chance plays no part in the determination of the Winner or the runners-up.
The winning entry and runner-up entries will be judged at 10:30am (AEST) on Monday 30th October at Helloworld Travel Ltd headquarters, Level 13, 80 Pacific Highway, North Sydney NSW 2060.
The Promoter will notify the Winner and runner-up by phone or any other method they see fit at 12:00pm (AEDT) on Monday 30th October. Winner and runner-up names will be published on the Promoter’s competition entry page for a period of 28 days post the draw taking place.
If the Winner fails to claim the prize within 72 hours of first being notified or the Winner’s entry is deemed invalid by the Promoter, the Winner is deemed to have forfeited and abandoned the prize. The Promoter will select another winner. The Promoter will notify the alternate winner by phone.
If any prize is unavailable or otherwise unable to be supplied, the Promoter may substitute the prize with a prize of equal value, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.
General Conditions
Prize(s) cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash. Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a person is unable to use the prize as stated. It is a condition of accepting a prize that the winner accept the conditions of use of that prize.
The Promoter is entitled to verify the validity of entries and the identity entrants/winner(s), and to disqualify any entrant/winner who submits an entry that is contrary to these Terms and Conditions, or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage is not a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
17. Except for any implied condition or warranty the exclusion of which from these conditions of entry would contravene any statute or cause any part of these conditions of entry to be void (“Non Excludable Condition”), the Promoter excludes from these conditions of entry all conditions, warranties and terms, implied by statute, general law or custom. Except for any liability in relation to a Non Excludable Condition, the Promoter (including its officer, employees and agents) excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including, without limitation, negligence), contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss or profits) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, without limitation, the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control): (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these conditions of entry; (e) any tax implications; (f) the cancellation or postponement of any prize; and/or (g) a prize or use of a prize.
If the Competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter is entitled to, the fullest extent permitted by law: disqualify any entrant; or subject to any direction from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition.
Major Prize conditions
Flights are not included in the Major prize, these are the responsibility of the Winner.
Travel is subject to booking availability and blackout periods may apply. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other travel or third party discounts or special offers.
In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or any other circumstance beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to either provide an alternative travel destination to the same value as the original prize or, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion
Neither the Promoter nor the prize supplier/s or their associated companies will be held liable for any loss, damage or injury that results directly or indirectly from the Winner taking part in any aspect of the Prize. Where relevant, the Winner agrees that they take full responsibility for any activities engaged in while travelling and engaging in the Prize package.
The Winner and their travelling companion are responsible for any visa and passport requirements associated with the Prize. In the event that the Winner or their companion are unable to obtain appropriate visas or a valid passport, the Promoter takes no responsibility for the Prize winner’s or their companion's inability to take the Prize.
Winner is responsible for all costs not expressly listed as being included in the Prize, including without limitation, meals, entertainment, other travel and accommodation, incidentals, gratuities, services charges, optional extras, transfers, passports, visas, re-entry permits, spending money, freights, excess baggage, government taxes, departure taxes, ground transportation any tax liabilities, airport charges, any applicable surcharges and any other related costs. Unless otherwise specified travel insurance is not included in the Prize and will be the responsibility of the Winner(s). Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Regarding the accommodation, it is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner may be requested to present their credit card or a cash deposit upon arrival at any accommodation to cover all ancillary costs they may incur during their stay. For the avoidance of doubt, the Winner acknowledges that the accommodation part of the Prize includes room charges only and no ancillary costs such as room service.
Travel arrangements to and from the Winner’s departure city airport do not form part of the Prize and are the responsibility of the Winner.
The Winner and their travelling companion must travel together on the same dates and to and from the same destination.
All travel will be subject to the general conditions of carriage. The Promoter and prize supplier make no representations as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. It is the responsibility of the Winner to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations before travel.
The Promoter collects personal information in accordance with Helloworld Travel’s privacy policy in order to conduct the Competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties and if required, to the Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information.
By submitting an entry, entrants expressly consent to the Promoter using:
a. The entrant’s entry (either in part or in full), name, likeness, image and/or voice to be reproduced and/or published in any medium for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition, the Promoter’s business, and any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter; and
b. Their personal information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research, and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Personal information will only be used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy
The Promoter will endeavour to provide the entrant with an option to opt out of receipt of such communications every time the Promoter contacts the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter.
