Competition Terms and Conditions:
Entering the competition: EB Games Australia’s EB Expo ticket giveaway competition.
1. The promoter is Queensland Rail Limited (ABN 71 132 181 090) of Level 13, Rail Centre 1, 305 Edward Street, Brisbane, Queensland 4000 (the Promoter).
2. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
4. The competition commences on Wednesday 20th September and closes on Wednesday 27th September 2017 at 5pm AEST. The competition will be monitored by representatives appointed by the Promoter. The representative’s decision in relation to all aspects of this promotion is final and binding on all who enter and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. To enter this competition, the entrant must tell us their favourite video game and why in 20 words or less.
6. The Promoter will only accept entries made personally by individuals. The Promoter will only accept one (1) entry per Entrant.
7. The prize includes two passes to either the Saturday or Sunday session of the EB Expo at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on 7th and 8th October 2017. Passes for each day are strictly limited and therefore the first winning responders will have their preference of prize.
8. Winners will be drawn on Thursday 28th September 2017 and will be notified directly by Queensland Rail via private message on Facebook. Each winner must organise for collection of their tickets to the EB Expo from the Central station ticket office by no later than Thursday 5th October 2017.
9. It is the winner’s responsibility to respond to the Promoter’s best method of contact, whether it be Facebook message or email, and advise their details for further correspondence regarding delivery/pick up of the prize.
10. Queensland Rail will not be liable to winners who are unable to pick up the double pass by the closing date of Thursday 5th October 2017. In the event of an entrant failing to collect their double pass, the Promoter reserves the right to allocate such uncollected double pass to the next complying entry.
11. The Promoter’s decision in the selection of the winners and the allocation of the prizes will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The prize must be taken as offered. The prize is not transferable to another person, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or for resale.
13. Entrants:
a) acknowledge that their personal information shall only be collected for the purpose of this competition and any associated use;
b) acknowledge that the Promoter is not responsible for the EB Expo;
c) release from, and indemnify the Promoter against, all liability, loss, cost or claim arising from your participation in this competition including the Promoter’s sponsors, suppliers and contractors, including but not limited to injury and damage to person or property regardless of circumstance;
d) release Facebook from all actions or claims arising out of their participation in this competition; and
e) acknowledge that this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
15. The Promoter:
a) reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of this competition at any time at its sole discretion;
b) may withdraw or cancel this competition at any stage;
c) may disqualify any entry from the competition without notice and for any reason; and
d) will not be liable to the winners should the EB Expo be cancelled or postponed, for whatever reason.
16. The Promoter is bound by the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld).
