Steadfast is giving you the chance to tell your ‘Garage Story’ and be in the running to win a $100,000 Nissan V8 Motorsport prize package.
 
The winner will receive an opportunity to put either their business name or logo on the front and back bumper of a Nissan Altima Supercar at the 2017 Newcastle 500 V8 Supercars event in November. The prize also includes corporate hospitality, flights, accommodation, $1,000 spending money and more. 
 
Eligibility

Entry is restricted to small to medium businesses (sole trader, partnership, company or trust) that operates a business only in Australia; had revenue between $500,000 and $10 million during the year ending 30 June 2017 (including related businesses); and employs less than 200 people. The small to medium business must have an Australian Business Number, a registered business or company name with ASIC, be wholly owned by Australian residents and not be part of a listed public company group.

The winner must be available to attend the Newcastle 500 V8 Supercars event which will be held between 24 to 26 November 2017.

Garage’ Story competition – terms and conditions of entry

The promoter is Steadfast Group Limited (ABN 98 073 659 677) of Level 4, 99 Bathurst Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 (‘Promoter’).  Information on how to enter the competition and a description of the prize form part of these terms and conditions of entry.  Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Entry is restricted to small to medium businesses, defined as a sole trader, partnership, company or trust that operates a business only in Australia; had revenue between $500,000 and $10 million during the year ending 30 June 2017 (including related businesses); and employs less than 200 people. The small to medium business must have an Australian Business Number, a registered business or company name with ASIC, be wholly owned by Australian residents and is not part of a listed public company group (a ‘Participant’).

To enter the competition and be eligible to win, a Participant must:
 
Describe in 250 words or less your ‘Garage’ Story, such as how you actually started in a garage, on the kitchen table or similar; the insurance broking or other experts who helped you get to where you are today; and other reasons for your success;
Enter by fully completing the form at www.steadfast.com.au/thegarage. The entry must be completed within the period specified in clause 7 below;
Provide their details (including personal name, ABN, registered business or company name, email address and telephone number);
All business owners must be over the age of 18; and
Be available to travel to Newcastle on Thursday, 23 November 2017 – Monday 27 November 2017.

 
A Participant cannot submit more than one entry. A Participant must create their own entry and only submit an entry for their business. Entries that are found to have been derived from third party work will be invalid. Each Participant indemnifies the Promoter and its associates on demand for any loss whatsoever they incur from reproducing, publishing or otherwise using any works subsequently found to have been derived in any way from any third party works.
Each Participant warrants that it has not granted rights to its entry to any other person.

The competition is meant for current and prospective clients of the Promotor and its associates. The competition is not open to employees of or contractors to the Promoter, Steadfast Underwriting Agencies, Steadfast complementary businesses, Steadfast Network Brokers or competitors to any of them, or spouses, parents and children of such employees and contractors.
The competition commences on Wednesday, 13 September 2017 at 09:00 (AEST) and concludes on Monday, 23 October 2017 at 19:00 (AEST). Entries will be deemed received at the time that the Promoter is satisfied that all requirements under condition 3 have been met and not at the time of submission by the Participant. The Promoter takes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible or misdirected entries or delays or failures in any equipment or telecommunications service used to administer this competition. Cost of entry via the internet is free, but internet connection and usage rates may apply. Participants should obtain details of such costs from their service providers.

Each Participant agrees to the Promoter for communication and marketing purposes (a) using the contact details to update its database; (b) to receive marketing from the Promoter and its associates during the entry period; (c) to be filmed and photographed; and (d) these images being used on the Promoter’s social media and communication channels and Nissan Motorsport social media and communication channels. Each Participant consents to these uses and disclosures of their personal information. Each Participant also agrees to the use of their name and images for an indefinite period, without compensation, and agrees that the Promoter will own the copyright and other intellectual property rights in any such images and in all material incorporating the images. The winner must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding winning the Prize, free of charge.

Each Participant agrees that the Promoter has the right to amend, edit, publish communicate to the public the entry in any media, including television and the internet, without any further consultation, reference or compensation.

The Prize will be awarded based on skill. One winner will be chosen at Level 4, 99 Bathurst Street, Sydney NSW 2000 on Friday, 27 October 2017. The competition will be judged by an employee of the Promoter.

The competition is not a game of chance.

The winner will be notified by email or phone following the close of the competition.  The winner’s details will be announced to all Participants on the Promoter’s website.  If either the Prize is not claimed for any reason or the winner cannot readily be identified despite the making of reasonable efforts, the Prize will be forfeited and a redraw will take place. The redraw will occur at the same place.

The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, age and other matters supporting their entry. Proof considered suitable is at the Promoter’s discretion.

Prize: the winner will receive:
Opportunity to put either their registered business/company name or business logo on the front and back bumper of a Nissan Altima Supercar of their choice at the 2017 Newcastle 500.
Corporate hospitality for the V8 Supercars event (Friday, 24 November 2017 – Sunday, 26 November 2017) including:
Grid walk
Hot lap ride in a Nissan Motorsport vehicle
Meet and greet with available Nissan Motorsport drivers
Nissan Motorsport garage tour
Nissan Motorsport merchandise kit x 2
Return economy class flights from their nearest capital city
Accommodation at Executive Inn Newcastle in a Garden Room
EFTPOS card to use for disbursements to the value of $1,000
A framed photo of the winner with their branding on the car with the driver
The opportunity to put in touch with a Steadfast Network Broker to discuss their insurance needs
Time with Rick and Todd Kelly to talk business (30 minute Skype call).

Prize indicative value: $100,000

If the Prize (or part of the Prize) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute alternative goods or services of equal or higher value. The Promoter accepts no other liability for any loss whatsoever incurred by a winner or any other person if the Prize (or part of the Prize) is unavailable for any reason.

The Prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied, transferred, exchanged or taken as cash.

The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. The Promoter may declare an entry invalid, disqualify any Participant that tampers with the entry process, refuse an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or reject an entry that jeopardises the fair and proper conduct of this competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in item values.  No compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to take any part of the Prize, or does not satisfy any conditions of use for any part of the Prize (including conditions imposed by event organisers or safety requirements), for whatever reason. Any part of the Prize that is not taken for any reason is forfeited.

A winner accepts the Prize at their own risk. To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its associates and any of their personnel (“Relevant Party“) exclude all liability for any loss whatsoever which is suffered or incurred by any Participant in connection with the competition, including (i) any indirect, special, pure economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss arising from the negligence of a Relevant Party; and (iii) any liability for personal injury or death. To the extent that such liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of the winner receiving the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any other costs whatsoever not expressly covered by the Prize but which may be incurred by use of the Prize are the responsibility of the winner.

The Promoter may request a winner to sign a disclaimer confirming that the Promoter is not liable for any loss whatsoever, including any personal injury or death, suffered in connection with the Prize (except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law).

If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, or is interfered with in any way (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, weather event, civil unrest, strikes, computer viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries.

These terms and conditions are governed by the law of New South Wales and each Participant and Promoter irrevocably consent to the non – exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
