TERMS AND CONDITIONS
“CAN YOU DIG IT for Al’s $5,000 Nugget ”
The following terms and conditions apply for the Grant Broadcasters “CAN YOU DIG IT for Al’s $5,000 Nugget”
promotion.
These terms and conditions apply in conjunction with Grant Broadcasters General Contest Rules. Where there is any
inconsistency, these terms and conditions will prevail.
1. DURATION
The active promotion will begin Monday 2
nd of October, 2017 and continue until the 14
th of October, 2017 OR until the
second major prize is won, whichever is first.
2. METHOD OF ENTRY
2.1 CAN YOU DIG IT
Listeners are invited to play CAN YOU DIG IT on air with Nugget and Al, weekday mornings at 8:10 am.
Listeners must then be the random caller through to correctly answer the true of false statement. The
contestant will only have one attempt to do so per call. There will only be nine winners from the on air contest.
2.2 Al’s $5,000 Nugget
Zinc 96.1 will broadcast live at the Rush Festival from 10 am to 1 pm for Al’s $5,000.00 Nugget. Zinc is giving
one luck person the bonus chance to dig at the OB. To be the last miner, you must register with Zinc 96.1 at
the Outside Broadcast between 10 am to 12 pm. Nugget and Al will draw one name from registrations at
12:05 pm. If your name is drawn you must be at the OB to collect. A redraw will be done if you do not make
known yourself within 5 minutes. All 10 finalist must be at Al’s $5,000.00 Nugget to win. No substitutions will
be allowed. All 10 finalist must register with the Zinc team by 12:00 pm. You must register to be able to part
take in the dig. The dig will take place at 12:30 pm. All finalists will be given a shovel and at once must dig to
find a “NUGGET” trophy. One “NUGGET” trophy per finalist. Each “NUGGET” trophy will be number one to
ten. One “NUGGET” trophy will have the $5,000 gold nugget attached to it, while the others will be
consolation prizes.
Once all finalist find a “NUGGET” trophy, Nugget and Al will reveal the prizes attached to each number.
Prizes will be revealed at random and at the discretion of Grant Broadcasters.
3. PRIZE
Each winner will instantly win a double pass to the Rush Festival, Saturday the 14
th of October. The winner also earns a finalist
position in Al’s $5,000 Nugget.
There can only be 10 finalist in Al’s $5,000 Nugget. All 10 finalist must be at the event to win and no substitution will be
allowed to take a finalists place. Each finalist is digging for a “NUGGET” bobble head. One “NUGGET” bobble head per
finalist. Each “NUGGET” bobble head will be number one to ten. One “NUGGET” bobble head will have the $5,000
gold nugget attached to it, while the others will be consolation prizes.
There will be ONE Major Prize, to win at Al’s $5,000 Nugget, this being a $5,000.00 gold nugget; awarded in the form of real
gold from the Gympie Regional Council. The Major prize will be given away a MAXIMUM of ONE times during the promotion.
Once the Major Prize has been awarded the competition will cease. Prize contents may change without notice and at the discretion
of Grant Broadcasters.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS
The winner of the major prize will be the contestant who dug for and found the winning numbered “NUGGET” bobble
head, which matches the winning nominated number.
5. NOTIFICATION
Prize winners will be notified at the time of winning. The winner will then be contacted by phone call to arrange
collection of the Major Prize.
6. INDEMNITY
All contestants release from, and indemnify Grant Broadcasters against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out
of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal
injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or
omission or otherwise.
By entering this competition, the entrant agrees to their voice and/or image to be used on air or in other marketing
collateral (including social media).
7. ENTRY CONDITIONS.
Employees and their immediate families of are ineligible to enter. Employees and their immediate families of all
associated sponsors and participating companies are also ineligible to enter. Winners must be from within the
broadcast area of the radio station to enter.
If after winners announcement a breach of eligibility is discovered, the prize will not be awarded.
Contestants may be required to forfeit their prize or be disqualified from entry at the discretion of Grant Broadcasters.
8. ALTERATION OF CONTEST SPOTS.
