More than 80 double passes are up for grabs.
Returning for its fifth year, the Cunard British Film Festival is back with another stellar line-up. This year there are 17 films in the official selection with several Australian premieres and Oscar contenders among the list.
To celebrate, Broadsheet and Palace Cinemas have partnered to give away more than 80 double passes to Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool at 7pm on October 31.
Set in the late ’80s, the film follows ageing Hollywood actor Gloria Grahame (Annette Bening) and aspiring young actor Peter Turner (Jamie Bell), as love sparks between them in the last few years of her life. Directed by Paul McGuigan and adapted from Turner’s 1984 memoir, this real-life drama is a romantic account of an extraordinary relationship.
Before the movie, guests are invited to join festival organisers for a short reception where they’ll be treated to almond, cranberry and Inca berry chocolates from Loving Earth’s new range, accompanied by white peach and ginger wine cocktails from Sofi Spritz.

COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
General
1. By participating in the Broadsheet x Palace Cunard British Film Festival competition
(Promotion), each participant fully and unconditionally agrees and acknowledges that these
terms and conditions are binding.
2. The promoter is Broadsheet, trading as Broadsheet Media Pty Ltd, ABN 20 131 593
201 of Level 1, 231 Smith Street, Fitzroy, VIC 3065 (Promoter).
3. The Promotion commences at 09:00 (AEST) on Friday 20 October 2017 and closes at
17:00 (AEST) on Friday 27 October 2017 (Promotion Period).
4. Entry is open to VIC residents only who are over 18 years of age.
How to Enter
5. To enter this Promotion you must complete the application form including your first name, last
name, and email address.
6. This is a game of chance and skill plays no part. The Promoter’s decision is final and no
correspondence will be entered into with entrants.
7. Multiple entries are not permitted.
8. Entrants can only enter in their own name. The use of automatic entry software, mechanical or
electronic devices that allows an individual to automatically enter the competition is prohibited
and may render all entries submitted by that individual invalid.
9. Employees of the Promoter, immediate family members of any employee, and any associated
company or agency of the Promotion are not eligible to enter.
10. Entries not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions are void. Entries will be
deemed void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way.
Draw and Prizes
11. Judging for the prize will take place at Level 1, 231 Smith St Fitzroy, VIC 3065 at 17.00 (AEST)
on Friday 27 October 2017.
12. Eighty-eight (88) winners will receive a double pass to the Cunard British Film Festival present
by Palace inclusive of:
- 2 x tickets to Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool on Tuesday 31st October 2017 at 7:00pm at
Palace Como. Total value = $43
- Refreshments at pre-screening reception from 6:30pm – 7:00pm from SOFI Spritz and Loving
Earth. Approx value = $30
13. Total prize pool value is at approximately $6,424 including GST.
14. Winners of this competition will be notified via email to their nominated email address
by 18.00 (AEST) on Friday 27 October 2017.
15. In this email the winners will be sent instructions to redeem their prize and the tickets must be
redeemed on Tuesday 31st October 2017.
16. This prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, cannot be sold, exchanged for cash.
17. If a winner cannot be contacted, the Promoter has the right to select new a new winner in their
place.
18. The Promoter reserves the right to alter the rules of the competition at any time.
