Terms & Conditions
Promotion Commences 9.00am 1
st October 2017 and ends 7.30pm 15th
December 2017.
1. Entry instructions and prize information form part of these Terms & Conditions. By
participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Conditions of Entry.
2. Entrants must be over the age of 18 years and not banned for any reason.
3. Staff and Board of Management of the Traralgon Bowls Club and their immediate families
(spouse, de-facto or children) are not eligible to enter the promotion under any
circumstances.
4. Promotion commences 9.00am 1
st October 2017 and ends at 7.30pm 15th December 2017.
No entries will be accepted after this date and time. All draws will be conducted at the
Traralgon Bowls Club Inc. Cnr of Gwalia St & Liddiard Rd, Traralgon 3844. Major draw will be
drawn from 7.30pm on the 15th December 2017.
(a) Every Friday at 7.30pm during the promotional period five (5) entrants will be drawn
from the barrel (6/10, 13/10, 20/10, 27/10, 3/11, 10/11, 17/11, 24/11, 1/12, 8/12). All
entrants will be notified in writing. The last ten (10) bonus entrants will be drawn from
7.30pm on the 15th December 2017. Bonus entrants will be drawn on the evening of the
major promotion – must be present to be eligible and names will not be re-drawn. In the
event the runner up cannot be present or appoint a proxy at the time of the major draw
they will forfeit their chance to Win A Car.
(b) The barrel will be emptied of all entries after each weekly draw.
(c) In order to determine the major prize winner the 60 entrants previously selected or their
proxy’s will place their entry ticket into a barrel, then the 20 names will be drawn from
the barrel and invited to select 1 of 20 boxes in the order they were drawn.
(d) Entrants must be present or have sent a proxy along with their entry ticket in order to
take place in the draw.
(e) There will be 20 boxes on display at the start of the major prize draw. One (1) box will
hold the key to successfully unlock the car on display. The other nineteen (19) boxes will
contain a runners up prize. The participant who holds the key will be declared the winner
of the major prize.
(f) The remaining 19 Runners up will each receive a Venue Voucher booklet valid only at the
Traralgon Bowls Club Inc.
(g) All winners will be notified in writing and published on
www.traralgonbowls.com.au from
the 7
th October 2017.
5. How to enter:
Non-members spend $20 or more on any non – gambling product in one transaction
to receive an entry into the draw (excludes TAB & Keno).
Members swipe at the kiosk to receive one (1) entry per day.
New members receive one (1) bonus entry upon joining the rewards program during
the promotional period.
Members will receive two (2) entries per day with purchase of food or beverage from
the POS.
Members who update their details during the promotional period will receive one (1)
bonus entry.
Members who redeem their points during the promotional period will receive one (1)
bonus entry.
6. Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. The Promoter reserves
the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s
identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the
entry process or who submits an invalid entry. An entry is invalid if not validated, illegible,
indecipherable, or incomplete or otherwise not submitted in accordance with these Conditions
of Entry. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute
a waiver of those rights.
7. Prize Pool: Major Prize winner will win a 2017 Toyota Yaris Ascent in cherry, including all on
road costs. Valued at up to $18,043.60.
8. The total prize pool is valued up to $19,000.
9. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
10. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize
winnings. Liability for any tax arising out of participation in this promotion (including
acceptance of a prize) is the sole responsibility of the entrant. Entrants should seek
independent financial advice in this regard.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of age, identity and
residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for
verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
12. Promoter’s decisions are final, and Promoter will not enter into any correspondence.
13. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers,
employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or
any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or
consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where
arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether
or not under the Promoter’s control);(b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party
interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected
(whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable
control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and
Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.
14. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused at
time of entry or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this
competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the
course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion,
defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or
satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of
entries.
15. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If
the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the
promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees
that the Promoter may use their personal information, or disclose it to other organisations
that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes
without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including
sending the entrant electronic messages. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to
the Australian regulatory authorities and winners’ names published as required under the
relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be
directed to the Promoter at their address set out below. If an entrant does not truthfully
provide all requested personal information, the Promoter may determine that they are not
eligible to win a prize. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
