Southport Sharks is now offering our members the chance to win $2,000,000.
The late Wally Fankhauser is one of the main reasons why Southport Sharks enjoy being the envy of sporting clubs nationwide. It was his $2 million donation that set up the move of the club from Owen Park in Southport to Musgrave Hill – which now bears the name of Wally Fankhauser Sports Reserve. Aside from his generous donation to establish Fankhauser Reserve, Wally put in plenty of hard work, personally bulldozing areas during the build. This promotion is open to all 2018 members who join before Saturday, 3 February 2018. When you become a member at Southport Sharks you automatically receive one entry into the promotion. Simply join or renew your Southport Sharks membership for 2018 to go into the draw.
Pay or play at Sharks from 15 November – 3 February to earn more entries. Simply spend $10* at any outlet around the club, or $10 in gaming turnover* to earn an additional ticket in to the major draw for a chance to win $2,000,000!

The major $2,000,000 draw will take place on Saturday February 3, 2018 at 4pm. Entrants must validate their entry tickets by swiping at the kiosk between 12pm – 3.30pm on this day and must be present at the time of the draw.
Five winners will be chosen to “play off” for the final selection. The prizes for the finalists include:
$250, $500, $1,000, $2,000, and $5,000 PLUS A CHANCE TO WIN $2,000,000

Where’s Wally’s $2m T&Cs
The following terms and conditions apply to the Where’s Wally’s $2 million promotion at Southport Sharks.
The promotion commences on Wednesday, 15 November, 2017 at 8.30am, and concludes at 4pm on Saturday, 3 February, 2018.
The opportunity for entry is open to all new and renewed 2018 financial members* excluding staff, club contractors and members of the board.
Persons must be 18 years and over to become a Southport Sharks member and therefore, to enter the promotion. Junior Shark members are excluded from the promotion.
Cash Draws Component – Fridays:
One (1) entry ticket is automatically accrued.
Food and Beverage Purchases:
One (1) automatic entry for members is awarded for each transaction over $10 at the following outlets; Frenzy Food Court, Carmody’s Restaurant & Bar, Cafe, Cabana Bar & Lounge, Lounge Bar, Terrace Bar, Mackenzie’s Sports Bar and Fins Cellar.
Exclusions include; Event/Transport ticket purchases, Ticketmaster purchases, Keno purchases, Bingo ticket purchases, external product purchases.
My Rewards point purchases at point of sale are not included in this promotion; the included purchases apply to cash transactions only
Gaming Turnover:
One (1) automatic entry will be awarded for every $10 gaming turnover generated by members.
All entries are automatically added to the virtual ticket barrel for entry into the weekly draws.

Winners must validate their entry tickets by swiping at the kiosk on each of the draw days including the major draw date. Kiosk swipes to validate weekly draws must take place between 5pm – 8pm each draw on Friday.
All weekly draws will take place via the virtual barrel. Winners must be present and have five (5) minutes to present themselves to the compere. In the event the winner is not present the compere will conduct a redraw after the five (5) minute time is up. This will continue until a present winner is found.
Major Cash and Prize Draw Component:
The major cash or prize draw will take place on Saturday February 3, 2018 at 4pm and entrants must validate their entry tickets by swiping at the kiosk between 12pm – 3.30pm.

The $5,000 will be issued by cheque on or after Monday 5 February, 2018.
Chance to win $2 million
Only one person will have the chance to win $2 million. This person will also receive $5,000. The one person selected will have a one (1) in 500 chance of winning $2 million. Southport Sharks have contracted an adjudicator to facilitate the odds of winning promotion. This adjudicator will have final decision on the outcome of the win / non-win.
Rules of the draw:
500 keys are to be inspected in private by the Adjudicator and confirmed to be identical in appearance, size and weight.
Only one key is able to unlock the door
That key is to be ceded by the Adjudicator in private to the remaining 499 keys
All keys to be placed by the Adjudicator in private identical envelopes and securely sealed
Each envelope is to be uniquely numbered from 1 to 500
The envelopes are to be displayed on a wall on the main stage until the draw is to take place at which time the curtain will be removed
The envelopes are not to be handled by the participant
One participant only to choose one envelope
Only one envelope will contain the key that wins the $2 million
The inspection of the keys, the ceding of the keys, the choosing of the envelope, the opening of the envelope will all be videotaped in accordance with the terms of the Underwriters of the promotion
The participant understands that he/she may be filmed in the promotion for both insurance and marketing purposes.
