How to Enter*
To enter, you must have written a novella, full-length novel, or non-fiction manuscript. Incomplete manuscripts can be submitted for consideration provided the final manuscript will be available no later than Monday 2 April 2018.
Submit your manuscript between Monday 1 January 2018 and Wednesday 31 January 2018 by email to
whitelightuniversal@outlook.com. Ensure your subject line is “2018 Publishing Competition Submission”. Include a one-page synopsis detailing your manuscript along with a one-page covering letter explaining why you believe your manuscript should win this competition, and telling us a bit about yourself.
Each entry must be sent in one email with the covering letter, synopsis and manuscript. Entries that have not followed the required conditions will be deemed ineligible. Please note, White Light Publishing House will not be able to contact individuals who forget to send one or more required elements.
How will the winner be chosen?
In the first instance, manuscripts will be randomly allocated to the White Light Publishing House team members for review. The team will select a longlist. From this longlist, the team will confer to agree upon a shortlist of three titles to become finalists.
The three titles deemed to be finalists will then be presented to the public in the first week of March and a poll for voting will be available on the White Light Publishing House website. The final winner will be determined by the most number of votes received.

Submissions for entry are open at 9am on Monday January 1 2018 and will close at midnight on Wednesday January 31 2018. Submissions received prior to January 1, 2018 will not be considered.
White Light Publishing House reserve the right to close the submission date prior to Wednesday January 31, 2018 if a high volume of entries is received. Not less than 48 hours’ notice will be given on the website and Facebook page prior to early closure.
To enter, you must have written a novella, full-length novel, or non-fiction manuscript. Incomplete manuscripts can be submitted for consideration provided the winner submits the final manuscript no later than Monday 2 April, 2018.
If the winner has not provided a final manuscript no later than 5pm on Monday 2 April, 2018, the prize will be forfeited.

There is a no limit per author, but each manuscript must be submitted in a separate email with a covering letter and synopsis.
White Light Publishing House reserves the right to refuse entry into the competition if the submitted manuscript does not fulfil the eligibility requirements for this competition; and/or if the manuscript does not align with our values; and/or if White Light Publishing House deems that publication of the manuscript/ book will expose it to legal risk.
Entry into this competition assumes acceptance of all terms and conditions.
The prize is to publish one (1) book only.
The manuscript is to be submitted in digital format in one (1) file only.
The manuscript must be written in English and be an original nonfiction or fiction work that has not been previously published or under contract to any publishing house, including White Light Publishing House.
A maximum of five (5) high resolution black and white images can be included in the manuscript and must be provided by the winning author. Written copyright permission from the artist or photographer must be provided for any images included in the book. No stock images are included in this prize package.
Eligible entries will be randomly allocated to the White Light Publishing House team members for review. The team will select a longlist. From this longlist, the team will confer to agree upon three titles to become finalists.
The three titles deemed to be finalists will be presented to the public via announcement on social media and the White Light Publishing House website on Thursday 1 March 2018.
A poll on the White Light Publishing House website will be opened to the general public for voting on Thursday 1 March 2018. Voting will close on Friday 16 March at 9pm. The final winner will be determined by the most number of votes received during the voting period.
The winner will be announced at midday on Monday 19 March 2018 on the White Light Publishing House website and Facebook page.
Prices available upon request if the winning author requires additional services not included in this price, including content editing and eBook conversion.
Inclusion in the White Light Publishing House online book store, and management and monitoring of online sales is for a minimum period of 12 months from the date of the book being released to the public.
Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
