The inaugural Coffs Central Mural competition is officially open and we invite local artists to submit your entries for one or both sites outlined below on the Coffs Central building on Vernon St, Coffs Harbour.
Coffs Central is a community hub in the Coffs CBD, a place where people gather together for shared experiences with family and friends, whether it’s for a coffee or a meal attending a workshop or live event or some retail therapy, Coffs Central truly sits at the Heart of it all.
Coffs Central is an advocate for environmental sustainability, with a progressive ‘ban the plastic bag’ policy to help clean up our oceans and our charity, Gowings Whale Trust protects and helps preserve marine mammals.
We love the local region, its landmarks, wildlife, beaches, surf breaks, local produce and people.
Please send your visual submission and accompanying statement to
olivia@gowings.com before 31st January 2018. Two prizes will be awarded to the winning artists, all materials will be provided plus a cash prize of $3000 and $1500.

No purchase is necessary or fee payable to enter the competition.Competition opens on 1st December 2017 and closes on 31st January 2018.

olivia@gowings.comThe winners will be selected by Coffs Central Management by 15th February 2018 and contacted via phone.
Once the winners ave been contacted, they will be listed on the Cofffs Central website.
By entering the competition you agree that Coffs Central can use your submission for marketing purposes and you agree to participating in any publicity surrounding the competition.
The competition is open to artists of all ages who are resident in Australia.The competition is not open to employees or relatives of Pacific Coast Shopping Centres and Gowing Bros Ltd.
The competition promoter is Gowing Bros Ltd, suite 21, Jones Bay Wharf, Pirrama Rd, Pyrmont, NSW 2009
There are two prizes, each comprising a cash component, artists materials component and the production itself of the winning submissions. Specifically there is one cash prize of $3000 and one cash prize of $1500, totalling a cash component of $4,500 AUD. Artists materials required to produce the winning designs will also be provided by the competition promoter.
By entering-should you be selected as prize winner- you acknowledge that the mural sites require some working at height and scaffolding or a safe alternative will be provide for these purposes by the promoter.
By entering -should you be selected as a prize winner-you agree to completion of the winning design within a timely manner, to be agreed with the promoter.
It is at the discretion of the promoter, Gowing Bros Ltd to award the two prizes offered. The promoter reserves the right to not award one or both of the prizes should none of the submissions be deemed suitable for such a high profile, public space.
The winning designs will also be subject to CHCC DA approvals.
