Entrants and any companions (if applicable) must be: 15 years of age or over.
If under 18 years of age, express permission of parent/guardian is required before entering this Promotion. Parent/guardian may be required to accompany that entrant/companion when using the Prize or participating in the Promotion. Prizes will be awarded to the parent or legal guardian who consented to the entrant registering in the Promotion on behalf of that entrant, at the sole discretion of the Promoter, and that parent or legal guardian must accompany that winner for the duration of the Challenge and Prize (if applicable).
Entrants may submit as many entries as they wish however each entry must be submitted via a separate entry and must independently comply with these Competition Terms of Entry.
For the avoidance of doubt, unless otherwise expressly stated, entrants may only win one (1) prize each in the Promotion.
Online Entry
During the Promotion Period entrants must complete the online entry form and register their details in the manner required on the website and answer in 25 words or less the question “Why you NEED $5,000 and what would you spend it on?” (Answer) they will also be asked to answer ‘What friend would you choose to help you on the ultimate 5k Amaze Race and Why?’
Each entry will be individually reviewed by representatives of the Promoter (Judges) based on the Judging Criteria.

Appear On Air
On Thursday the 18th of January 2018 the Judges (in their sole and absolute discretion) will:
(a) select up to ten (10) entrants judged to have submitted the ‘best’ Online Entries based on the Judging Criteria (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) from all valid Online Entries submitted up until that stage during the Promotion Period (each a Selected Entrant);
(b) contact up to ten (10) Selected Entrants (as determined by the Promoter in its absolute and sole discretion) by telephone and place them on the standby list;
(c) Invite the two (2) Selected Entrants who submitted the ‘best’ Online Entries (based on the judging criteria) up until that stage in the Promotion period to appear on air. (Appear On Air)
(d) If the Selected Entrants each successfully appear on air for the purpose of the promotion (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) they will be deemed a Challenger (Challenger) and asked by a representative of the Promoter over the phone (off air) to provide their contact details (including their Personal Contact Number) for the purposes of awarding them a Domestic Travel Prize (if applicable) and to organise their participation in the Challenge.
(e) If either of the Selected Entrants do not answer their phone and successfully appear on air for the purpose of the promotion (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) that relevant Selected Entrant will not be deemed a Challenger and the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) will invite the Selected Entrant who submitted the next ‘best’ Online Entry to appear on air. The Promoter will continue this process until two Selected Entrants have successfully appeared on air for the purpose of the Promotion (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) and are deemed a Challenger.
For the avoidance of doubt, Selected Entrants must appear on air during the Promotion Period to be deemed a Challenger.
For the avoidance of doubt, if a Selected Entrant cannot participate in the Challenge for any reason (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) the Selected Entrants entry into the Promotion will be deemed invalid.
For the avoidance of doubt, even if an entrant appears on air to share their Answer or their Answer is read out on air and or profiled by the Promoter or one of the Promoter’s representatives, or if the Promoter and/or their representative expresses or indicates that the entrant’s Answer is the preferred Answer, it does not mean that the entrant has been selected as a Challenger for this promotion and that entrant may not be deemed a Challenger and or awarded a Domestic Travel Prize (if applicable). The Challengers will only be determined after all entries to the Promotion have been considered in accordance with the Judging Criteria below at the conclusion of the Promotion Period.
For the avoidance of doubt there will be two (2) Challengers chosen during the Promotion Period, these two (2) Challengers will each participate with a companion of their choice in the Challenge (Challenge) on Friday the 19th of January 2018 to determine the Major Prize Winner.
Challenge
The Promoter will take both Challengers and their relevant companions (Teams) to a specific location in Sydney (to be advised by the Promoter) on Friday the 19th of January 2018 at a time to be disclosed by the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion).
The Challengers will both be given a set of rules as advised by the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) that they will need to adhere to during the Challenge to be eligible for the Major Prize.
The first Challenger to satisfactorily complete the Challenge by arriving at the specified final location first and in accordance with any other criteria for success (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) will be deemed the winner and awarded the Major Prize. Should a Challenger/the Challengers refuse, or fail to satisfactorily complete the Challenge within the time specified, they will forgo any Prize. The Promoter’s decision as to the result of the challenge is final and no correspondence will be entered into
If, after a specified time period, neither Challenger is able to successfully complete the Challenge/s (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion), the Challenger who was closest to completion (as determined by the Promoter in their sole and absolute discretion) will be declared the winner and awarded the Major Prize.
Challenge locations will be determined by the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) and advised to Challengers and their companions prior to each Challenge.
Both the Challenger and their companion must arrive at the final location (as advised by the Promoter) at the same time (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) and be the first team to arrive at the final location in order to be declared a winner and awarded the Major Prize.
Each entrant must nominate a personal contact number, either a personal mobile number or home phone number (and not a business number), to be eligible for the prize (Personal Contact Number) and grants the Promoter the right to call that entrant on their Personal Contact Number live on air.
Entrants in the Promotion must be able to receive a phone call from a representative of the Promoter (on their Personal Contact Number) between the following timeframe (or such other time specified by the Promoter) and in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Entry Method:
4:00pm AEDT Wednesday the 10th of January 2018 and 10:00pm AEDT on Thursday 18 January 2018
If the entrant does not answer their phone by the time that phone goes to a message bank, the entrant consents to the Promoter broadcasting that entrant's voicemail message including their full name and/or business name live on air. Each entrant warrants that it has obtained all consents from third parties to broadcast live-air any information or names (including business names) in the entrant’s voicemail message.
Each entrant warrants that they have received all consents from third parties that may ordinarily answer their Personal Contact Number in the entrant's absence to be broadcast live on-air if that third party answers the relevant phone live on-air. If a third party answers an entrant's Personal Contact Number, that entrant will not be eligible for a prize as determined by the Promoter in its absolute and sole discretion.
If for any reason an entrant is unable to be contacted, or is otherwise unable to, or declines to, appear on air or participate in the Challenge, or their phone line drops out or is inaudible, the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) may replace that entrant by contacting another entrant and inviting them to appear on air or participate in an on-air game or challenge (where applicable). The Promoter will repeat this process until an entrant is able to be contacted and confirms their eligibility and ability to appear on air or participate in the relevant on-air game or challenge (where applicable).
If requested by the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion), entrants and their companion must sign an indemnity and exclusion of liability form in order to participate in the Challenge and be eligible to win and participate in the prize.
For the avoidance of doubt, if an entrant is spoken to by a representative of the Promoter, it does not mean they have been selected as a Challenger (where applicable) and they may not be invited to appear on air or participate in the relevant on-air game or challenge or be deemed a Challenger (where applicable).
Entrants must be able to complete the Amaze Race (Challenge) on Friday the 19th of January 2018
Where an entrants ordinary state of residence is either Victoria, South Australia, Queensland or Western Australia they must be able to travel to Sydney, New South Wales on Friday 19th of January 2018 to participate in the Challenge in the event they are a Challenger.
For the avoidance of doubt, a Challenger must participate in the Challenge in order to be eligible to win the Major Prize.
An entrant/Challenger and their companion’s participation in the Promotion and Challenge may be filmed and/or recorded for the purposes of a pre-recorded segment that may be broadcast on-air or on the Station Website at a later date.
All valid entries will be individually judged by representatives of the Promoter (in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) by 2:00pm AEDT Thursday 18 January 2018 at the Promoter’s premises. All valid entries will be judged based on the Judging Criteria.
All valid entries will be judged (by representatives of the Promoter) on originality, creativity and suitability or as otherwise specified by the Promoter (in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion). Where entrants are required to participate in a challenge or on air game, the Promoter may specify the relevant judging criteria prior to or at the time of the challenge or on air game.
Major Prize
There is one (1) Major Prize to be won comprising of;
$5,000 AUD to be transferred into the Major Prize Winners Bank Account or the Bank Account of the Major Prize Winners parent/legal guardian (if applicable).
Domestic Travel Prize (if applicable)
The Challengers will be awarded one (1) travel prize (if applicable) for the Challenger and up to one (1) companion (companion must be aged 18 years or older, to be determined by the Challenger and approved by the Promoter in its discretion), valued at up to $2,000 (incl GST). The prize comprises of the following components:
two (2) adult economy return airfares from either WA, SA, VIC or QLD to Sydney, NSW (inclusive of airfare related taxes and charges);
one (1) nights minimum three (3) star accommodation in a hotel to be determined and specified by the Promoter, twin share, to be shared by the Challenger and their companion in Sydney, NSW;
return transfers for the Challenger and their companion from their destination airport to their destination accommodation;
For the avoidance of doubt, if a Challenger’s ordinary state of residence is NSW they will not be awarded the accommodation or the domestic travel prize element of the Prize.
Entrants and their companion/s (where applicable) must be able to participate in the Challenge on Friday the 19th of January 2018. Entrants and their companions must also be able to travel to Sydney, NSW on Friday the 19th of January 2018. Dates and schedules of the prizes are not under the Promoter’s control and are subject to change. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any date or schedule changes.

The Domestic Travel Prize (if applicable) will be emailed to the Challenger's nominated email address by the Promoter or prize provider of the Promotion.
The Major Prize will be transferred to the winner's nominated bank account via electronic funds transfer (or the nominated bank account of the winner's parent/guardian if the winner is under 18 years of age.
