How to enter:
1. Ensure your HOYTS Rewards membership is active and you are opted in to receive email communication.
2. Present yourself as a HOYTS Rewards member when purchasing tickets in cinema or log in when buying online for any Oscar®-nominated movie.
3. See any Oscar®-nominated movie showing at HOYTS between Wednesday 24th January and Saturday 3rd March, 2018. You will receive 1 entry for each unique Oscar®-nominated movie you see.
4. The next day, after your Oscar®-nominated ticket purchase you will receive an email containing a link to a ballot entry form.
5. Tell us who you think will WIN in their nominated category at the 90th Academy Awards® by completing the entire ballot form.
6. Submit the completed ballot form including your HOYTS Rewards membership email address no later than Sunday 4th March, 2018 by 11.45pm AEST to be eligible.
7. For every correct winner picked, you will receive one (1) mark.
8. The member with the most marks will WIN 30,000 Qantas Points, the member with the second highest number of marks will win 15,000 Qantas Points and the member with the third highest number of marks will win 7,500 Qantas Points.

Participation
1. This promotion – “The Oscars® Win* up to 30,000 Qantas Points!” (“Promotion”) is conducted by The HOYTS Corporation Pty. Limited, of Level 50, 680 George Street, Sydney, NSW 2000, ABN 31 006 082 551 (“Promoter”).
2. Information regarding prizes and how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Submission of an entry into this promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions are ineligible.
3. Entry is only open to HOYTS Rewards members who are permanent residents of NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA or WA who have opted in to receive email communications and purchase a ticket for an eligible movie. Directors, management and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers, agencies and companies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. Entrants who are under the age of 18 years old must obtain their parent’s consent before entering. If a winner is under the age of 18 they must provide details of a parent or guardian aged over 18 years of age to accept the prize on their behalf.
4. The eligible movies are Phantom Thread, Darkest Hour, The Florida Project, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, The Shape of Water, All the Money in the World, I, Tonya, Ladybird, The Post, The Greatest Showman, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, The Disaster Artist, Molly’s Game, Coco and Ferdinand. Not all eligible movies listed will be screening at all HOYTS cinemas or for the duration of the Promotional Period.
5. The Promotion commences at 12:01am AEDT on 24 January 2018 and final entries close at 11.45 pm AEDT on 3 March 2018 (the “Promotional Period”). To be a valid entry, all of the necessary information must be included with an entry and the entry must be received by the Promoter during the Promotional Period.

6. Entrants must have completed the HOYTS Rewards membership sign-up and activation process online and checked the box ‘Please send me weekly newsletters & HOYTS offers’ in the Subscriptions section of Update Details in the HOYTS Rewards section of the Hoyts website

7. Entrants are required to present themselves as a HOYTS Rewards member when purchasing a ticket to an Eligible Movie in person in cinema or be logged in as HOYTS Rewards members if buying online at
www.hoyts.com.au when purchasing tickets to an Eligible Movie showing during the Promotional Period at participating HOYTS Cinemas in NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, WA or SA. Eligibility is based on one (1) entry per unique Eligible Movie ticket purchased. For clarity, members who see the same Eligible Movie more than once will only be eligible to complete one entry, regardless of the number of times they see the specific movie. If the member purchases tickets for, and views an additional movie that is also an Eligible Movie during the Promotional Period, they will receive 1 entry for each unique Eligible Movie they see at Hoyts during the Promotional Period. Eligible HOYTS Rewards members who meet the above requirement will receive an email the next day after their purchase if they have opted in to receive weekly newsletters & HOYTS offers with a link to complete their entry.
8. To submit their entry, HOYTS Rewards members must follow the link provided in the email sent by HOYTS, and they will be asked to provide their HOYTS Rewards email address (the email address associated with their HOYTS Rewards Membership which can be found at
www.hoyts.com.au/myhoyts sign in, edit details) and respond with who they think will win this year’s Academy Awards® in the various categories and will also be required to complete a tie-breaker question for use if a tie occurs. A valid entry will require a HOYTS Rewards member to answer seven (7) separate multiple choice questions and one tie-breaker question. All entries must be submitted by 11:59pm AEDT on Sunday 3 March, 2018.
9. The seven (7) multiple choice 90th Academy Award® category questions are as follows: best performance by an actor in a leading role, best performance by an actor in a supporting role, best performance by an actress in a leading role, best performance by an actress in a supporting role, achievement in costume design, best motion picture and achievement in visual effects. The tie-breaker question is 'If you were accepting an Oscar and the music started to play what would you do that is out of the ordinary to continue your acceptance speech?'
10. Entrants must retain proof of purchase to verify eligibility for entry if required.
11. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promoter’s database, not the time of transmission by the entrant.
Prizes
12. Upon the release of the official results of the 90th Academy Awards®, each correct answer received will be awarded one (1) mark.
13. The valid entry with the highest number of correct answers in total will win the Major Prize. The next two (2) valid entries with the highest number of correct answers will win the Runner-Up Prizes. In the event of a tie for a place (1st, 2nd and 3rd) each tied member’s tie-breaker answer will be used to determine the winners. The Major Prize winner and runners up will be notified by email within two (2) days of being determined.
14. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Major Prize Draw winner and runners up will have their name(s) published online at
www.hoyts.com.au in March 2018.
15. The Major Prize winner will win 30,000 Qantas Points.The winner of the first Runner Up Prize will win 15,000 Qantas Points.
16. The winner of the first Runner Up Prize will win 15,000 Qantas Points.
17. The winner of the second Runner Up Prize will win 7,500 Qantas Points.

18. The total prize pool is 52,500 Qantas Points.
19. All prizes must be taken as offered. No portion of the prizes are redeemable for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize values. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their prize. Each Prize is awarded and must be redeemed, in accordance with and subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program (Qantas.com/terms), the Qantas Store Terms of Use (Qantas.com/store), voucher terms and conditions (including expiry rules) if relevant, and any other terms and conditions disclosed at the time of redemption.
20. There are three prizes in total, the Major Prize of 30,000 Qantas Points, the first Runner Up Prize of 15,000 Qantas Points and the second Runner Up Prize of 7,500 Qantas Points. Qantas Points may take up to 28 days to be credited to the winner’s account from the draw date.
21. If the winners are not already members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, membership to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, normally valued at $89.50, will be included in their Prize. To accept this part of the Prize, the winners must not already be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, and must complete the standard join process including agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program (available at Qantas.com/terms).
22. The maximum notional value of each Prize is AU$150 (30,000 Qantas Points), AU$75 (15,000 Qantas Points) and AU$37.50 with a total prize pool of AU$262.50 based on a sample of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Rewards that could be obtained by redeeming through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program (as fully defined in the terms and conditions of the program available at qantas.com/terms. For example, 4,950 Qantas Points could be redeemed for a Store Gift Card with a value of AU$25 and 30,000 Qantas Points could therefore be redeemed for Store Gift Cards to the value of AU150.
23. The estimate of the maximum notional value of each prize is provided for information purposes only. The maximum notional value of each prize will vary depending on whether and how it is redeemed by a winner through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. The Promoters accepts no responsibility for any variation in the maximum notional value of each prize.
24. Each Prize is awarded and must be redeemed, in accordance with and subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program (Qantas.com/terms), the Qantas Store Terms of Use (Qantas.com/store), voucher terms and conditions (including expiry rules) if relevant, and any other terms and conditions disclosed at the time of redemption.
25. The redemption of each Prize is subject to the availability of Rewards that may be obtained through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
26. In the event that a Prize is redeemed for Reward travel, the winners should be aware that the number of Reward flight seats available is limited and availability depends on the flight, date, season and destination and some flights may not have any Reward seats available. The winners will be responsible for all applicable taxes, fees and carrier charges of Reward travel or accommodation booked by redeeming their prize. Taxes, fees and carrier charges vary depending on departure points, routes, exchange rates and dates of travel, are subject to change without notice and are quoted at the time of booking. Reward flights must be booked at least 24 hours before scheduled departure (and other advance booking requirements may apply). Reward travel is subject to the fare rules and the Conditions of Carriage of the relevant carrier. Compliance with immigration, health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the winner.
