Terms & Conditions - Win a Trip to China for 2 Competition
1. General
1.1. Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotional advertisements or online entry pages for the Competition form part of the conditions of entry.
1.2. Participation in the promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
1.3. The Promoter is Perth Airport Pty Ltd, Level 2, 2 George Wiencke Drive, Perth Airport, WA 6105.
1.4. An Entry that does not, in the Promoter’s opinion, comply with these Terms and Conditions may be disqualified.
1.5. All entries become the property of Perth Airport Pty Ltd.
1.6. The Promoter reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the Competition (including altering the Prize) if, in the Promoter’s sole discretion, a Competition is not capable of being conducted as specified.
1.7. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Western Australia and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Western Australian courts.
1.8 Entrants acknowledge that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
2. Eligibility
2.1. Only Eligible Entrants can enter the Competition.
2.2. An Eligible Entrant is:
(i) A natural person, aged 18 or older;
(ii) A Western Australia resident;
Who is not:
(iii) Entering the Competition on behalf of another person;
(iv) An employee, director or management of the Promoter;
(v) An immediate family member of an employee, director or management of the Promoter, including a spouse, child, parent or sibling;
(vi) An employee of a related entity to the Promoter;
(vii) A consultant, or an employee of a consultant, engaged by Perth Airport Pty Ltd to deliver the Competition.
3. Competition duration
3.1. The Competition will commence 3.00pm AWST on Thursday 8 February 2018 (Commencement Date).
3.2. Entries for this Competition will close at 2.00pm AWST on Wednesday 28 February 2018 (Closing Date).
3.3. No late entries will be eligible to enter the Competition.
4. Entry method
4.1. Eligible Entrants may, during the competition Commencement Date and Closing Date, submit a maximum of one (1) Entry. Entrants can also receive up to two (2) additional Entries if they share the Competition on their Facebook or Twitter social networks. The maximum number of Entries an Entrant can have in the Competition is three (3), including Entries received via social sharing.
4.2 Entry is open to Eligible Entrants who have completed all required information and selections in the online form. These are First name; Last name; Email; Phone number; Acceptance of being a Western Australia resident and over 18 years of age; and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
4.3. Eligible Entrants must complete all required information and selections in the online form and this must be received by the Promoter before the Closing Date to be automatically entered into the draw of the Competition.
4.4. The Promoter is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected Entries, or for any technical difficulties or unavailability of any Entry Method during the Competition period.
4.5. An attempt to enter the Competition not strictly in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be a ‘Non-Conforming Entry’.
4.6. The Promoter has no obligation whatsoever (at law or otherwise) in respect of Non-Conforming Entries.
4.7. The Promoter may, at any time, take whatever action it considers necessary to verify the validity of Entries or determine whether Entries are Non-Conforming Entries.
4.8. The Promoter may disqualify any Entry, which in the Promoter’s absolute discretion:
(i) is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions;
(ii) is incomplete or indecipherable;
(iii) is made by an entrant who tampers, or attempts to tamper, with the Entry process;
(iv) is made in pursuit of an unlawful or other improper purpose; or
(v) is made to jeopardise, or attempt to jeopardise, the fair and proper conduct of the Competition.
4.9. If the Promoter disqualifies an Entry, then that Entry will be a Non-Conforming Entry.
5. Prize details & conditions
5.1. One (1) Prize will be awarded to one (1) eligible Winner of the Competition.
5.2. The Prize is a travel voucher for a trip to Guangzhou for two (2) people valued up to $4,000, including:
(i) Two (2) return economy class airfares from Perth to Guangzhou flying China Southern Airlines. Flights are subject to availability at the time of booking and blackout periods may apply.
(ii) Five (5) nights’ twin share accommodation for two (2) people at a luxury 5-star hotel in Guangzhou including breakfast, at the Promoter's discretion. Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking and blackout periods may apply.
5.3. This is a single event holiday and cannot be separated into different holiday vacations or redeemed for cash. The winner may be required to present their credit card upon checking in at the accommodation.
5.4. Australian passport holders require a visa for travel to China, which must be obtained prior to travel. The Winner and their travel companion are responsible for organising, and payment of, their own visas to enter China. If the Winner is not granted a visa to enter China, then the prize will be forfeited and not transferable or redeemable for cash.
5.5. Travel Insurance is not included in the prize and it is strongly recommended that the Winner and their travel companion obtain travel insurance before travel.
5.6. Availability of the flight and land component of this prize cannot be guaranteed during peak periods such as Christmas, School Holiday or special event periods and is subject to availability.
5.7. The prices of the flight and land component of this prize may vary and increase during peak periods such as Christmas, School Holidays or special event periods and is subject to availability. If the value of the booking exceeds the voucher amount, the residual will be made up by the Winner.
5.8. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the participating prize providers, if for any reason the Winner does not, once the prize has been booked, take the prize (or an element of the prize) at the time stipulated, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash.
5.9. All travel must be completed within 12 months of the winner receiving their prize. All passengers must travel together on the same flights and stay in their allotted accommodation for each destination. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist in transit or at any destination.
5.10. The prize listed above is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers and the winner(s) agree that The Promoter cannot be held liable for any breaches of these Terms and Conditions.
5.11. Winners of the prize should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings.
5.12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.13. The Prize must be redeemed within 12 months of receipt. The Promoter is unable to extend the validity of this prize or honour it should the prize vouchers not be used in time, or lost or destroyed.
5.14. Once flights and/or accommodation have been booked by the Winner they may not be able to be changed and all costs of doing so will be the Winner’s responsibility.
5.15. The Prize is not transferrable or exchangeable for cash, substitute Prizes, or other goods or services.
5.16. All other costs and expenses associated with the Prize, beyond the specified Prize value, will be the responsibility of the Winner. The Winner is not entitled to any compensation if the Winner is unable to use all or any part of the Prize for whatever reason.
5.17. The Promoter may request that the Winner provide proof of identity, age, and proof of residency as a condition of receipt of the Prize.
5.18. If the Prize, or any part of the Prize, becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may at its absolute discretion substitute a different Prize in place of any Prize referred to in these Terms and Conditions.
6. Redemption
6.1. Voucher is non-transferable, not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Voucher is valid for 12 months after receipt of Prize. Voucher must be redeemed through Allure Travel by CTM. Please contact Allure Travel
travel@alluretravel.com.au or 1 300 361 425 and quote Voucher number and booking number. An Allure Travel booking fee applies and has been included in the total value of the Voucher. The Winner will be responsible for any additional travel agent fees including fees relating to booking, changes and cancellations.
6.2. Please note that any person quoting your Voucher number will also have access to the booking details including personal information; please keep your Voucher confidential.
7. Currency
A Voucher is available in Australian Dollars (AUD) only. A Voucher can only be redeemed in the currency the Voucher number was issued.
8. Validity
8.1. The Voucher is valid for bookings made within 12 months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated on the Voucher. The Voucher will expire at midnight on the expiry date stated on the front of the Voucher and cannot be extended.
8.2. Voucher numbers are to be treated the same as cash. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be reissued.
8.3. Any credit remaining after redemption of the Voucher will be forfeited. If the value of the booking exceeds the voucher amount, the residual will be made up by the traveller. Any balance that remains on the Voucher after the expiry date is not available for use.
8.4. Additional values cannot be added to existing Vouchers.
8.5. Only one Voucher number can be used per booking. Any outstanding difference between the Voucher and the amount of the booking must be paid at the time of booking with a valid credit card.
9. Competition Winner
9.1. The Winner will be chosen from a random draw of entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The draw will be performed by a random computer process.
9.2. The Winner will be drawn by 5.00pm on Wednesday 28 February 2018 at Level 2, 2 George Wiencke Drive, Perth Airport, WA 6105.
9.3. The judges’ decision will at all times be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. Winner notification
10.1. The Promoter will notify the Winner of their successful entry by phone, followed by email, within seven (7) days of the draw date - Wednesday 28 February 2018.
10.2. Within seven (7) days of the notification being given to the Winner, the Winner will be required to respond to the Promoter as instructed in the email notification. If the Promoter has not received suitable contact from a Winner within 7 days, or the Winner failed to provide the correct contact details with the Entry, they are deemed ineligible for the Prize.
10.3. The Winner selection process and Winner notification will then be repeated until an eligible Winner is confirmed.
10.4. The Winner will be required to present at Perth Airport Pty Ltd between 9.00am and 5.00pm AWST, Monday to Friday, within one month from initial contact with the Winner regarding their successful entry to collect their Prize.
10.5. Collection of Prize will be organised by the Winner following notification of their winning entry. The Promoter will not be liable for any delivery or travel costs associated with claiming a Prize.
11. Publicity
11.1. It is a condition of entry that the Promoter has the right to publicise the Winner for any promotion or matter incidental to the Competition, if required.
11.2. The Winner agrees to participate in any news or media activity surrounding the Competition and the publication of their name, photograph and Entry on the Promoter’s website, social media sites and other marketing material owned by the Promoter.
11.3. The Winner may also be required by the Promoter to participate in a photo session and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to use such publicity photos in any medium (including, without limitation, the Internet), and in any reasonable manner it deems fit.
11.4. The Winner must agree to make themselves available for publicity purposes without charge.
12. Indemnity & disclaimer
12.1. All Entrants release and indemnify the Promoter and all of its related companies and personnel, from and against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any Prize(s) or participation in the Competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury, death, damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
12.2. By entering and participating, Entrant agrees to hold harmless, defend and indemnify Facebook from and against any and all claims, demands, liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), losses, costs or expenses, with respect to or arising out of or related to Entrant’s participation in the Competition, or Entrant’s participation in any Prize related activities, acceptance of a Prize and/or use or misuse of a Prize (including, without limitation, any property loss, damage, personal injury or death caused to any person(s)).
12.3. Neither the Promoter nor any of its related companies or personnel, will be responsible or liable if for any reason beyond their reasonable control any element of any Prize is not provided.
12.4. Neither the Promoter nor any of its related companies or personnel, will be liable to any person for any loss or damage sustained or incurred if, for any reason, the Competition is suspended, varied or terminated at any time, with or without prior warning or publicity.
12.5. Neither the Promoter nor any of its related companies or personnel, will be liable to any person for any loss or damage sustained or incurred arising from late, lost or misdirected entries.
12.6. Neither the Promoter nor any of its related companies or personnel, will be liable to any person for any loss or damage sustained or incurred arising from any change in the value of a Prize occurring between the publishing date and the date the Prize is claimed.
13. Reserved rights
13.1. The Promoter reserves the right to exclude any person from this Competition for any reason whatsoever.
13.2. In all matters, all decisions of the Promoter will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence or discussions will be entertained.
13.3. If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
14. Privacy
14.1. Perth Airport Pty Ltd will collect, store and use the personal information provided to it pursuant to these Terms and Conditions and its privacy policy can be found at

14.2. Perth Airport Pty Ltd collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. For example:
(i) Personal information may be disclosed to third parties, including, but not limited to, Australian regulatory authorities.
(ii) Personal information may be provided to third parties for the purposes of administering the Competition.
14.3. In addition Perth Airport Pty Ltd uses personal information for related secondary purposes such as performing research and analysis aimed at improving its products, services and technologies.
