TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in
this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The promoter is Home Timber & Hardware Group Pty Ltd (ABN 64 004 037 049) of Level 1, 19
Corporate Drive, Heatherton, VIC 3202, telephone 1300 131 843 (“Promoter”).
3. Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who are business owners (or employees
including apprentices and subcontractors) in the following trades and can claim and take the prize
during the dates specified in these Terms and Conditions:

4. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion
are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto
spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, stepgrandparent,
uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
5. Promotion commences on 14/05/2018 and final entries close at 11:59pm on 17/06/2018 (“Promotional
Period”). All times indicated in these Terms and Conditions are in AEST, as per local VIC time.
6. To enter, eligible individuals must complete the following steps during the Promotional Period:
a) visit
www.homehardware.com.au;b) follow the prompts to the promotion entry page;
c) input the requested details (including their full name, eligible trade, the name of the company
at which they are employed, a valid email address, mobile number, State/Territory of residence
and their preferred Home Timber & Hardware store);
d) indicate their support for either the NSW or QLD State of Origin team;

10. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion,
to determine the identity of the entrant.
11. The draw will take place at Database Consultants Australia, Level 5, 355 Spencer Street, West
Melbourne, VIC 3003 at 9:00am on 20/06/2018. Subject to clause 12, the Promoter reserves the right
to draw reserves in case of an invalid entry or invalid entrant.
12. The provisional winners will be notified immediately after the draw by telephone and in writing by email.
The provisional winner of the NSW Group prize (detailed below) will have until 9:00am AEST on
21/06/2018 (24hours) to respond to the winner notification and claim their prize. If the provisional winner
of the NSW Group prize fails to respond to the winner notification by 9:00am AEST on 21/06/2018 the
Promoter will contact the next reserve entry drawn who will have until 9:00am on 22/06/2018 (24 hours)
to respond to the winner notification and claim their prize. If the 2nd reserve provisional winner of the
NSW Group prize fails to respond to the winner notification by 9:00am on 22/06/2018 (24 hours) a redraw
will be conducted in accordance with clause 21 below. The provisional winner of the QLD Group
prize (detailed below) will have until 9:00am AEST on 25/06/2018 to respond to the winner notification
and claim their prize. If the provisional winner of the QLD Group prize fails to respond to the winner
notification by 9:00am AEST on 25/06/2018 the Promoter will contact the next reserve entry drawn who
will have until 9:00am on 02/07/2018 to respond to the winner notification and claim their prize. If the

nd reserve provisional winner of the QLD Group prize fails to respond to the winner notification by
9:00am on 02/07/2018 a re-draw will be conducted in accordance with clause 22 below. The provisional
winners will only be deemed winners once verified by the Promoter. The winners will have their names
published immediately after the draw online at
https://www.homehardware.com.au from 20/06/2018.
13. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. Entries will be divided into two (2) groups as follows depending on the team nominated by each entrant
at the time of entry: (i) NSW Group; and (ii) QLD Group.
15. The first valid entry drawn, from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period from the NSW
Group, who claims the prize as outlined in these Terms and Conditions, will win a trip for five (5) adults
to NSW for Game 2 of the State Of Origin (at ANZ Stadium on 24/06/2018) valued at up to $25,000
depending on point of departure. Prize includes:
Five (5) x return economy class airfares from the winner’s nearest capital city to Sydney, NSW
(only provided if winner resides outside of NSW). If the winner is from NSW, then the prize does
not include airfares and the airfare component of the prize is not redeemable for cash;
One (1) night accommodation in Sydney, NSW (on 23/06/2018 and 24/06/2018);
Platinum passes for five (5) adults to Game 2 of the 2018 State Of Origin held at ANZ Stadium
on 24/06/2018; and
One (1) signed NSW jersey (exact size to be determined by the Promoter) for the winner only.
16. The first valid entry drawn, from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period from the QLD
Group, who claims the prize as outlined in these Terms and Conditions, will win a trip for five (5) adults
to QLD for Game 3 of the State Of Origin (at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on 11/07/2018) valued at up
to $25,000 depending on point of departure. Prize includes:
Five (5) x return economy class airfares from the winner’s nearest capital city to Brisbane, QLD
(only provided if winner resides outside of QLD). If the winner is from QLD, then the prize does
not include airfares and the airfare component of the prize is not redeemable for cash;
One (1) nights accommodation in Brisbane, QLD (on 10/07/2018 and 11/07/2018);
Platinum passes for five ( 5) adults to Game 3 of the 2018 State Of Origin held at Suncorp
Stadium on 11/07/2018; and
One (1) signed QLD jersey (exact size to be determined by the Promoter) for the winner only.
17. Spending money, meals, insurance, transport to and from departure point, transfers, items of a personal
nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included. Prizes must be taken to coincide
with Games 2 and 3 of the State Of Origin event with flights departing on 23/06/2018 and 10/07/2018
as applicable, and is subject to booking and flight availability. The winner and their companion/s must
depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Itinerary to be determined by

the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. Prize is
subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. The winner may
be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in.
18. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason the winner does not take a prize (or an
element of a prize), at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize)
will be forfeited.
19. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to
substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject
to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
20. Total prize pool is up to the value of $50,000
21. The prizes, or any unused portion, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
22. If the NSW Group prize remains unclaimed by 9:00am AEST on 21/06/2018, a re-draw will take place
for such prize at 10:00am AEST on 21/06/2018 at the same place as the original draw, subject to any
directions from a regulatory authority. The winner, if any, will be notified immediately by telephone and
in writing by email and their name will be published online at
https://www.homehardware.com.au/tradecentre/trade-promotions/from 22/06/2018. If the QLD Group prize remains unclaimed by 9:00am AEST
on 02/07/2018, a re-draw will take place for such prize at 10:00am AEST on 02/07/2018 at the same
place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winner, if any, will
be notified immediately by telephone and in writing by email and their name will be published online at
https://www.homehardware.com.au from 03/07/2018.
23. The entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they
are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited
period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and
promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
24. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably
anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited
to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole
discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written
directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as
appropriate.
25. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is
dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other
mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited
and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
26. The Promoter will not be liable for any tax obligations arising out of participation in this promotion
(including acceptance of a prize). Entrants should seek independent financial advice in this regard.
27. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify
the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as
any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and
Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be
excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers,
employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss
or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in
any way out of the promotion.
28. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the
Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes
all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of
opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any
technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any

theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered,
damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond
the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any tax liability incurred by a prize winner, winner’s employer
or entrant; (e) if either Game 2 or Game 3 of the State of Origin is delayed, postponed or cancelled for
any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; or (f) taking/use of the prize.
29. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner (and their companion/s) must sign any legal
documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute
discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
30. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this
purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service
providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on
providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can
be viewed at
http://www.homehardware.com.au/privacy_policy. In addition to any use that may be
outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise
advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including
sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information
about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about
a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will
be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter may disclose entrant’s
personal information to selected entities outside of Australia – see Privacy Policy for details.
