MOVIN’ MELVIN BROWN delivers twice the fun at Fringe World Festival
Rhythm and Blues legend Movin’ Melvin Brown is bringing his unique blend of singing, grooving and shaking to Adelaide Fringe 2018! After rave reviews worldwide, Melvin is ready to get Adelaide dancing with not one but two full length shows packed with iconic tunes, legendary dance moves and good times all around!
In Melvin’s first Fringe World 2019 offering, Movin' Melvin Brown - A Man, A Magic, A Music! he shows how he earned his nickname: Mr. Entertainment/The Dance Man.
This is a fresh take of Melvin at his best, with an updated version of the show that got him five star reviews in Edinburgh and award winning/nominations in Brighton, New York, Wellington, Ottawa, Toronto… Offering a unique blend of singing, tap-dancing, comedy and true stories, A Man, A Magic, A Music! is an evening you won’t want to forget!
The last week of the Fringe Melvin returns with Movin' Melvin Brown - Chuck Berry Lives! This homage to the legendary king of Rock n’ Roll will be a delight to both longtime Berry fans and those who’ve never heard him before. What better introduction to the music of this much beloved icon than through Movin’ Melvin Brown and The Rock’n’Roll Showband?!
Melvin states: “I grew up in Cincinnati when it was at the heart of the black music scene. Chuck Berry did so much to give us rock ’n’ roll. He was at the heart of a musical revolution – he was the king. And I firmly believe that music still has the power to change the world for the better.”
