1. The Piper Heidsieck AO Activation (Competition) is governed by and subject to the following
Terms and Conditions.
2. The promoter of this Competition is Crown Melbourne Limited ABN 46 006 973 262, 8
Whiteman Street, Southbank VIC 3006 (Crown).
3. Participation in this Competition constitutes an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
4. The Competition commences at 3.00pm on Monday 7 January 2019 and will conclude at
11.59am Wednesday 23 January 2019, subject to clause 7.a) (Competition Period).
5. Eligible participants in this Competition must be Victorian residents and aged eighteen (18) years
of age or over and not prohibited from entering Crown for any reason in accordance with clause
43 (Participants).
6. A copy of these Terms and Conditions will be available at
http://www.crownmelbourne.com.auduring the Competition Period.
TO ENTER:
7. During the Competition Period, Participants must
a) Purchase either:
i. Two (2) flutes (to share) of Piper Heidsieck Brut NV or Piper Heidsieck Essential
Cuvee; or
ii. One (1) 750ml bottle (to share) of Piper Heidsieck Brut NV or Piper Heidsieck
Essential Cuvee from any of the following participating venues at Crown:
Atrium Bar; or
Jackpot or
28 Skybar Lounge; or
Lumia Bar; or
Merrywell; or
Mr Hive; or
Sports Bar; or
The Pub; or
Groove Live Bar & Terrace; or
Tonic; or
Vegas; or
Velvet Bar; or
Nobu; or
Conservatory; or

subject to participating venues’ individual trading hours (Participating Venues).
b) Participants will then receive at least two (2) scratch cards subject to daily maximum limits
stipulated in clause 8; and
c) Participants must scratch the scratch card(s) to reveal three (3) symbols:
i. If all three (3) symbols match, Participants will win an Instant Win Prize described in
clause 16; or
ii. If any of the three (3) symbols do not match, Participants can then fill in an entry
form with their details on the back of the scratch card(s) and place their scratch
card(s) into a Participating Venue’s entry box to enter the Major Prize Draw.

8. Pursuant to clause 7, Participants will receive scratch cards in accordance with the following:
a) Two (2) scratch cards per two (2) flutes (to share) of Piper Heidsieck Brut NV; or
b) Three (3) scratch cards per two (2) flutes (to share) of Piper Heidsieck Essential Cuvee; or
c) Four (4) scratch cards per bottle (to share) of Piper Heidsieck Brut NV; or
d) Six (6) scratch cards per bottle (to share) of Piper Heidsieck Essential Cuvee.
9. The number of scratch cards received is strictly limited to the amounts indicated in clause 8 per
Participant, per day during the Competition Period, regardless of the number of Piper Heidsieck
products purchased at a Participating Venue.
10. Participants may enter multiple times; each entry will require a new scratch card. No other
method of entry will be accepted.
11. There will be a total of two thousand (2,930) scratch cards made available to Participants.
Scratch cards are available while stocks last during the Competition Period.
12. At the conclusion of the Competition Period, all entry boxes located at Participating Venues and
Crown Gifts will be collected and entries received collated into a single Major Prize Draw barrel
for the Major Prize Draw.
INSTANT WIN PRIZES:
13. If the Participant reveals three (3) matching symbols on their scratch card, they can collect their
prize between the hours of 10:00am and 9:00pm Monday – Sunday from Crown Gifts on Level 1
Retail at Crown.
14. On collecting their prize, Participants can then fill in their details on the back of the scratch cards
and place their card in the entry box at Crown Gifts to enter the Major Prize Draw during the
Competition Period.
15. All scratch cards received will be the responsibility of the Participant to redeem.
16. There are thirty (30) x Limited Edition bottles of Piper Heidsieck Champagne (RRP $80.00)
available to be won as Instant Win Prizes for this Competition (Instant Win Prizes).
17. Total value of Instant Win Prizes for this Competition is $2,400.00.
18. If a prize winner is unable to claim their Instant Win Prize by 7.00pm Thursday 7 February 2019,
that Instant Win Prize will be deemed forfeited.
19. Prizes that involve alcohol must be collected from Crown Gifts and appropriate identification
presented at the time of collection. Alcohol prizes must not be opened and consumed in a
public place, including within the Crown Entertainment Complex.
MAJOR PRIZE DRAW:
20. The major prize draw will take place at 3.00pm on Wednesday 23 January 2019 in the Crown
Marketing Offices at Crown (Major Prize Draw).
21. One (1) valid entry will be randomly drawn from the entire pool of entries from the Major Prize
Draw barrel and declared the Major Prize Draw winner of the Competition.
22. Illegible or incomplete entries will be discarded and an immediate re-draw will occur.
23. Participants are not required to be present at the time of the Major Prize Draw to claim their
prize.
24. In the event that a winner has not claimed their prize or Crown has been unable to contact a
winner by 3:00pm on Thursday 24 January 2019, a re-draw will be conducted at 3:15pm on the
same day in the Crown Marketing Offices at Crown. All reasonable efforts will be made to
contact the Major Prize Draw winner. In the event a re-draw winner has not claimed their prize
or Crown has been unable to contact the re-draw winner by 10:00am on Friday 25 January 2019,
the Major Prize will be deemed forfeited.

25. The Major Prize Draw winner will win the following prize package, all of which is only valid for
and must be taken from 4:45pm on Saturday 26 January 2019 and Sunday 27 January 2019
(Major Prize):
a) Three (3) course sit down meal including selected beverages at GAZI Restaurant, 2 Exhibition
Street, Melbourne VIC 3000;
b) Two (2) Category 1 tickets for the winner and their guest to both the Australian Open
Women’s Final scheduled for Saturday 26 January 2019 at Rod Laver Arena and the
Australian Open Men’s Final scheduled for Sunday 27 January 2019 at Rod Laver Arena;
c) Q&A with a tennis legend;
d) Live entertainment; and
e) Crown Metropol Luxe Room hotel stay for two (2) people (the winner and their guest),
valued at $1,316.
26. The Major Prize Draw winner will be notified in writing via email and via telephone and advised
how to claim their prize (including arrival times).
27. The Major Prize is only valid for the dates specified in clause 25 Where the Major Prize winner
(including their guest) is not able to redeem any prize (or part thereof) due to physical inability
or incapacity, poor weather or any other circumstances beyond Crown’s or the prize provider’s
reasonable control, then the Major Prize (or part thereof) will be forfeited and is not redeemable
for cash, or any other prize, goods or services.
28. All meals, beverages, tours, tips, transfers and any other ancillary items not stated in the Major
Prize description in clause 25 are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
29. Details of the Major Prize Winner will be published on Crown’s website
http://www.crownmelbourne.com.au on Wednesday 23 January 2019 for twenty-eight (28)
days. If required the re-draw will occur on Thursday 24 January 2019 and winner’s details will be
published that day for twenty-eight (28) days.
30. The total value of the Major Prize is $5,306.00
31. The total value of all prizes for this Competition is $7,706.00.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS:
32. All prizes (including any part thereof) are strictly non-negotiable, not transferable or not
redeemable for cash, or other goods and services.
33. Printing and other quality control errors outside Crown’s reasonable control will not be used as
the sole basis for refusing an Instant Win Prize claim. If the advertised Instant Win Prize pool is
exceeded, all valid Instant Win prize claims will be honoured, unless a claim is rejected due to
fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions.
34. The Major Prize is subject to the Australian Open’s Hospitality Terms and Conditions, available at
https://ausopen.com/hospitality/terms-conditions.
35. In the event that Major Prize draw cannot be conducted at the specified time due to unforeseen
circumstances outside Crown’s reasonable control, the Major Prize draw will take place as soon
as is practicable after the delay has been resolved.
36. If a prize (or part thereof) is unavailable for any reason at the time of redemption, Crown will
instead award the winner a similar prize of equivalent value (as determined by Crown).
37. Crown reserves the right and license to use a selected Participant’s name, suburb, photograph,
image and likeness for the purpose of promoting and advertising Crown and the Crown
Entertainment Complex.

38. Crown will handle Participants’ personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988
(Cth) and Crown’s privacy policy which is available at
http://www.crownmelbourne.com.au/general/privacy-policy.
39. Subject to clauses 7.c)ii, 14, 17, 26, 29, 37 and 38, Participant’s personal information obtained in
relation to this Competition is for the sole use of identifying Participants and winners of the
Competition and will not be disclosed to any other organisations outside of the Competition,
unless such disclosure is required by law.
40. Crown shall not be liable in any way if entries are unavailable as a result of technical malfunction
or operator fault.
41. Subject to law, Crown (including its employees, agents and contractors) has no liability to any
person for injury (including death), loss or damage whatsoever howsoever arising in connection
with this Competition (including the awarding, condition, use or misuse of the prizes). This
clause does not apply to the extent that Crown’s liability (if any) arises from an act or omission of
Crown in respect of its supply of services and/or goods to a prize winner in the ordinary course
of Crown’s business.
42. Crown may cancel or modify the Competition, but will only do so if this is unavoidable (for
example, if the Competition cannot run for technical or administrative reasons that cannot be
rectified). Crown will update these Terms and Conditions as soon as is practicable if this
occurs. If the Competition is cancelled, Crown may select the winner(s) from eligible entries
received at the time of cancellation, if appropriate to do so in the circumstances.
43. This Competition is not open to Participants or other persons excluded from the casino pursuant
to the provisions of the Casino Control Act 1991 (Vic) or who are otherwise prohibited from
entering the Crown Entertainment Complex for any reason, including persons who become
prohibited before or after a prize redemption, if applicable (up to the time of receipt or
collection of a prize by a prize winner).
44. Crown’s decision in connection with any aspect of this Competition will be binding and final on
every Participant.
45. Any failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in disqualification of any
Participant. Disqualification will be at Crown’s sole discretion and no correspondence will be
entered into.
46. Employees of the Crown Group of Companies: Crown Resorts, Crown Melbourne, Crown Perth,
Crown Sydney, Crown London Aspinalls and Betfair are not permitted to participate in this
Competition.
47. Crown practises the responsible service of alcohol. Entry and continued participation in this
Competition is subject to the Participating Venue's liquor serving policy. Crown adheres to the
