Brisbane’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day party is back and it’s ready to sham-rock your world – prepare yourself for Paddyfest! Spend the day sampling your way through all of the traditional Irish food on offer (make sure you visit the Diddly Dee Food Truck!), then celebrate in true Irish style by washing it all down with a Guinness or green beer from the pop-up bars. This year there are four exciting new zones to explore – Paddyfest Central, O’Donoghue’s Ale House, Little Leprechauns Kids Zone, and Food & Wine Lane – and loads of entertainment to enjoy. Think it as an Oktoberfest for all things Irish – there are even prizes for best dressed, so get creative.
You’ll be Dublin over with laughter at everything from eating competitions to a live leprechaun DJ and bulk limericks on the cards. Indie rock band Kingswood (regulars at Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival and Groovin the Moo) is set to bring the jams, with a stellar line-up of Irish rock and folk bands and traditional Irish dancers also taking to the stage to deliver nothing but good times. Plus, for the first time ever there will even be a spectacular laser light show to look forward to that is sure to enchant both the young and the young at heart. Get set for a truly electric atmosphere.
