UNSW presents Winter Gala: Songs My Mother Taught Me.
UNSW’s Music Performance Unit’s inaugural Winter Gala will take place this month featuring Australian guest soprano Sara Macliver and Australia Ensemble pianist Ian Munro in a program all about women.
Macliver is one of Australia’s most popular and versatile artists, appearing in operas, concert and recital performances and on numerous recordings.
The program will include Schumann’s Frauenliebe, Dvořák’s Songs my mother taught me, Suk’s solo piano work About Mother Op. 28, Haydn’s My mother bids me bind my hair, and Grieg’s Mutterschmerz and Ich liebe dich.
