This is my lesson on how a winner became a loser:

I spent $19.55 purchasing a Saturday X-Lotto ticket and won $158.90. I was happy - momentarily. Then, I realised that my husband had advised me that he wanted 20L of coolant concentrate for his vehicle. The coolant cost $167.00. At least the delivery was included.

I won a children's book which I have set aside for Christmas in July.

I have also won the respect of my husband regarding entering competitions. As mentioned on this website some time ago, my husband responded with, 'Why not?", when I advised him that I do not win all the competitions that I enter. Recently, has been hit with a cold dose of reality when, over the last six weeks, he has won one prize.
