1. Competition and Promoter
1.1. By entering the ‘Custom Plates - 2019 Toyota AFL Grand Final Competition’ and in consideration for the opportunity to participate in the ‘Competition’, each Entrant agrees to be bound by and observe these Conditions of Entry. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Conditions of Entry.
1.2. The promoters of the Competition are the Victorian Department of Transport and Roads Corporation trading as VicRoads ABN 61 760 960 480 of 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101 (‘Promoter’).
1.3. The Organiser of the Event is Australian Football League (AFL) ABN 97 489 912 318. GPO Box 1449, Melbourne, Victoria 3001 (‘Organiser’).
1.4 The 2019 Toyota AFL Grand Final is scheduled to be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 28 September 2019 (‘the Event’).
2. Who may enter?
2.1. Subject to paragraph 2.2, entry into the Competition is open to all residents of Victoria aged 18 and over.
2.2. Employees (and immediate family members of employees) of the Promoter and its associated agencies, including the Department of Transport and Regional Roads Victoria are not eligible to enter the Competition.
2.3. The Promoter will not accept any joint entry.
3. Competition Period
3.1. The Competition commences at 8.00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Friday 30 August 2019 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Friday 13 September 2019 (Competition Period).
3.2. Entries not received during the Competition Period or not completed in accordance with these Conditions of Entry will not be eligible to win. Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Promoter’s Competition Webpage entry form and not at the time of submission by the Entrant. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.
4. How to enter
4.1. Entry into this Competition is only available through the Competition webpage,

To enter this Competition, you must complete the Competition entry form by providing personal details, contact information, the name of your favourite AFL Club, and answer the following question in 25 words or less: “What is your usual routine on Grand Final Day to celebrate the game?”.
4.3. In these terms and conditions, an Entrant is defined as a person who completes and submits a Competition entry form via the Competition webpage (‘Entrant’).
5. Prize and notification
5.1. At the end of the Competition Period, all entries will be judged by the Promoter and one entry will be declared the winner.
5.2. Judging will be conducted by the Promoter on Monday 16 September 2019 at 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101. The winning entry will be the one judged by the Promoter to be the most creative answer to the question “What is your usual routine on Grand Final Day to celebrate the game?” (‘Prize Winner’).
5.3. The Prize Winner, in accordance with these Conditions of Entry, will win the following Prize (‘the Prize’):

1 x $695 Custom Plates voucher
1 x merchandise pack for the winner’s favourite AFL club
5.4. The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of the Promotion is final, and no correspondence will be entered.
5.5. The Prize Winner will be notified by email or phone call using the details supplied in the competition entry form on Tuesday 17 September 2019.
5.6. In the event that the Prize Winner judged by the Promoter is not contactable by the Promoter, or the Winner does not respond to the notification that he or she has won the competition or provide an address for written notification by 3:00pm AEST Friday 21 September 2019, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to the next best judged entry submitted. In the event that the original Prize Winner forfeits the Prize, the Entrant with the next best judged entry will be deemed to be the new Prize Winner.
5.7. The Prize is supplied by both the AFL and Custom Plates.
5.9. The maximum total prize value is AU$1,395 (including GST).
5.10. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. The prize is not redeemable for cash and must be taken as offered.
5.11. In the event that the Prize, or any part thereof, is not available for any reason, the Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, substitute the Prize or any part thereof, with an item of similar value.
6. Information for Prize Winner
6.1. All Entrants agree to provide the Promoter with identification and/or proof of age if selected as the Prize Winner. The form of identification and/or proof of age are at the discretion of the Promoter.
6.2. The Prize Winner also agrees to comply with any attendance conditions that apply to the Event and/or displayed at entrances to the Event including any Conditions of Entry. For more information about the 2019 Toyota AFL Grand Final terms go to

The Prize Winner agrees that spending money, meals and all other ancillary costs incurred as a result of taking the prize (including, without limitation, transport to and from the Event, airline and/or airport taxes and transfers, where applicable) are not included in the Prize and such costs remain the responsibility of the Prize Winner. All elements of the Prize must be taken to coincide with the Event and any element not taken at the time(s) stipulated will be taken to be forfeited.
6.4. The Promotor accepts no responsibility for items that form part of the Prize after they are delivered to the Prize Winner. The Prize Winner acknowledges and agrees that the Promoter is not responsible for, or connected with the delivery of the Event, and that the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage that may be suffered by the Prize Winner.
7. Consent to collection and use of Personal Details
7.1 By entering the Competition and supplying the details as required on the entry form, the Entrant agrees to the Promoter collecting and using his/her personal information for the purposes of contacting the Entrant about Custom Plates and any marketing or programs associated with the Promotor.
7.2 This information may be used or disclosed as authorised or required by the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and the Road Safety Act 1986 (Vic) as applicable. The Promotor may disclose personal information it collects from you to various organisations, including our contractors, or people authorised to collect and use personal information held by the Promotor. Some of these organisations and persons may be located outside of Victoria, and as a result, your personal information may be transferred outside of Victoria.
