Shop Local Christmas Promotion 2020
In 2020, Gilgandra Shire Council has announced there is $12,000 in Cooee Cash to be won through it’s Shop Local Christmas and Customer Experience Feedback draws.

In 2020 there will be 4 weekly draws that will take place at 4pm on the following dates out the front of the GIL Collective and Visitor Information Centre, 30-32 Miller St, Gilgandra NSW 2827
          > Thursday, 26 November 2020 – 9 Draws of $250 for individuals; 1 Draw of $250 for businesses
          > Thursday, 3 December 2020 – 9 Draws of $250 for individuals; 1 Draw of $250 for businesses.
          > Thursday, 10 December 2020 – 9 Draws of $250 for individuals; 1 Draw of $250 for businesses.
          > Thursday, 17 December 2020 – 9 Draws of $250 for individuals; 1 Draw of $250 for businesses.

Promotion Rules 2020:
Shop Local Christmas Draws
Entrants must collect receipts from businesses registered or operated in the Gilgandra Local Government Area (from here forward to be referred to as “Participating Businesses”) between 8am 2 November 2020 and 3.59pm 17 December 2020.

When entrants have valid receipts to the minimum value of $100 with receipts from at least three (3) separate participating businesses, they must place these in the official entry envelope and place in the entry barrel.
Receipts in a single entry envelope can be of any value and any participating business so long as the receipts in the official entry envelope total a minimum of $100 and are from at least (3) separate participating businesses.
The promotion runs from 8am on Monday, 2 November 2020 until 3.59pm on Thursday, December 17 2020.
There is no minimum age for entry in the promotion. However if the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize will be awarded to the parent or legal guardian.
Only original receipts will be accepted or authorised and validated copies or vouchers where the receipt needs to be retained for warranty, business or taxation purposes. Copies or vouchers must be signed or stamped by relevant participating businesses to be eligible.  
All entries must be placed in the official entry barrel by 3.59pm prior to the draws taking place.
The business winner for each week will be drawn randomly from the receipts enclosed in the winning envelopes of the individual draws that week.
A participating business can only win once in the business draws during the promotional period.
An individual can only win once per weekly draw.
The draws will take place at 4pm on the following dates out the front of the GIL Collective and Visitor Information Centre, 30-32 Miller St, Gilgandra NSW 2827
Thursday, 26 November 2020 – 9 Draws of $250 for individuals; 1 Draw of $250 for businesses.
Thursday, 3 December 2020 – 9 Draws of $250 for individuals; 1 Draw of $250 for businesses.
Thursday, 10 December 2020 – 9 Draws of $250 for individuals; 1 Draw of $250 for businesses.
Thursday, 17 December 2020 – 9 Draws of $250 for individuals; 1 Draw of $250 for businesses

Winners will be notified via phone contact numbers supplied on the entry envelope, immediately after the draw has taken place.
The results will be published in the first edition of The Gilgandra Weekly each week after the draw, along with Gilgandra Shire Council website and both the Gilgandra Shire Council Facebook page.
The winners will be decided by a draw from the entry barrel. This entry will be validated and checked to ensure it meets the criteria (receipts in an official entry envelope to a minimum value totalling $100 from at least three (3) participating businesses; are original or validated copies from participating businesses dated between 8am 2 November 2020 and 3.59pm 17 December 2020). An entry will not be deemed the winner unless it meets the criteria for entry. In the event the entry is not deemed valid, there will be a redraw. This process will continue until a winner is found.
Prizes are:
36 x $250 Coo-ee Cash Cards for individuals
4 x $250 Coo-ee Cash Cards for businesses
The total value of the prizes for Shop Local Christmas is $10,000.
The “Coo-ee Cash Cards” are preloaded EFTPOS cards that are only able to be spent at businesses in the Gilgandra Shire with an activated EFTPOS terminal.
The winner has until three (3) years, as per NSW gift card legislation to spend their Coo-ee Cash Card.
Coo-ee Cash Cards are not transferable for Australian currency or any other financial product or currency that can be converted to cash.
The winners will be notified via contact details supplied on the official entry envelope for individuals and by contacting their registered phone number for businesses.
The barrel will be emptied of all entries after each weekly draw has taken place.
Any prize winner has three (3) months (until 4pm on 17 March 2021) in which to claim the prize. If the prize remains unclaimed three (3) months after the original draw date, an unclaimed prize draw is to be conducted.
The unclaimed prize draw will take place on 18 March 2021 at 10am at the Gilgandra Shire Council Administration building located at 15 Warren Road Gilgandra.
The unclaimed prize draw will be advertised on www.gilgandra.nsw.gov.au and Gilgandra Shire Council’s Facebook Page
Winners do not have to be present at the draw to claim the prize.
Gilgandra Shire Council reserves the right to cancel or suspend the promotion if any activity is discovered which is deemed to be contravening the rules as set down in this document, New South Wales or Australian Commonwealth law.
Customer Experience Feedback Draws
Entrants must fill in the designated Customer Experience Feedback survey for businesses registered or operated in the Gilgandra Local Government Area (from here forward to be referred to as “Participating Businesses”) 2 November 2020 and 21 December 2020.

Entrants must complete the designated Customer Experience Feedback survey with meaningful feedback and complete the contact details section to be eligible.
Entries can be made both online (via the website www.gilgandra.nsw.gov.au or by QR code) and by the designated paper surveys provided. Designated paper surveys must be submitted into the allocated collection bin or will not be valid.
The promotion runs from 8am on Monday, 2 November 2020 until 5.00pm on Monday, December 21 2020.
There is no minimum age for entry in the promotion. However if the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize will be awarded to the parent or legal guardian.
All designated paper surveys must be placed in the official entry bin by 5.00pm Monday, 21 December 2020.
Each participating business and individual entrant can only win once during this promotion.
The draws will take place at 4pm on Tuesday, 22 December 2020 out the front of the GIL Collective and Visitor Information Centre, 30-32 Miller St, Gilgandra NSW 2827.
Winners will be notified via phone contact numbers supplied in the survey, immediately after the draw has taken place.
