The Horizon Festival ‘Win a Weekend’ Promotion 2021 will be open to the public to enter from the following times:
Starts 9:00am (9:00) Monday 12 July 2021 and closes 5:00pm (17:00) Monday 26 July 2021 (Australian Eastern Time Zone).
3: NATURE AND VALUE OF THE PRIZES
All prize values are the recommended retail value in Australian dollars and are correct at time of any collateral printing or online posting. Horizon Festival and its Partners and Sponsors take no responsibility for variations in the prize value. All prize winners will be contacted via the email address provided as part of the Horizon Festival ‘Win a Weekend’ Promotion 2021’ entry.
Please note that an email and physical address will be required to be required to receive the prizes and/or give-aways. Tickets are non-transferable or redeemable for cash, please treat tickets and vouchers as cash, Horizon Festival takes no responsibility for lost or stolen tickets or vouchers.

The prizes do not include airport transfers to/from city of origin, spending money or travel insurance, all of which are the responsibility of the winner. Prize winners will be contacted via email or phone and it is the responsibility of the prize winner to then make contact with Horizon Festival within the appropriate period. The response period for prizes will be advised in the winner’s notification email or voicemail message.
The accommodation must be used on the dates specified under Section 3 of these Terms & Conditions at the designated Mantra Hotel property, and is non-transferrable in terms of the guest name (of the winner), accommodation location and dates of travel.
4: ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be Australian residents and be aged 18 years old or over to be eligible to win prizes. Employees of Sunshine Coast Council, their immediate families and companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to win prizes.
5: PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DRAW / JUDGING
Prize winners will be selected from valid entries received during the promotional period based on the creativity, originality and adherence to the ‘How to Enter’ promotion criteria. The ‘Horizon Festival ‘Win a Weekend’ Promotion’ will close at the times specified above in Section 2 of these Terms & Conditions.
The winning entry will be selected by Horizon Festival at the head office and winners will be notified within 24 hours of the specified entry closing times.
6: METHOD OF ADVISING RESULT
Prize winners will be notified via the email address and / or phone number provide. Horizon Festival will provide contact information to the winner (a phone number and/or an email address) in order for winners to claim their prize.
7: CLAIMING OF PRIZES
Due to the date-specific nature of the pre-booked accommodation prizes, the winner will have 48 hours from the time/date of notification to claim their prize. If the prize remains unclaimed after 48 hours, Horizon Festival reserves the right to re-assign the prize if appropriate. The first winner has no claim to any prizes should they fail to claim their prize within 48 hours of notification. Other prizes, including tickets and vouchers, may have shorter periods of notice due to their nature.
8: CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
For the Sunshine Coast Regional Council Privacy Policy, see sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au. All prizes/giveaways are non-transferable and not exchangeable, and when applicable, must be used on the dates specified by the Promoter. For event based prizes, winners must be able to attend the event on the date specified. Horizon Festival will not be responsible or liable if for any reason beyond their reasonable control any element of any prize is not provided. Horizon Festival may, subject to government regulations, substitute a different prize of equivalent value in place of any prize referred to in these terms and conditions. The prize does not include any other costs of a personal nature that are not stated. This prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated.
9: PUBLICITY MATERIALS
It is a condition of entry that Horizon Festival and/or its partners and sponsors have the right to publicise, broadcast and communicate to the public the names, characters, likeness and voice of any entrants for any promotion or matter incidental to the Promotion. Please note this includes any and all submissions made to the ‘Horizon Festival ‘Win a Weekend’ Promotion ’. Entrants may be required by Horizon Festival to participate in any photo, recording, video and/or film session(s) (the “publicity materials”) and acknowledge that Horizon Festival has the right to use such publicity materials in any medium (including the internet and social media) and in any reasonable manner it sees fit, unless that person advises the Horizon Festival at the time of entering the Promotion that he/she wishes to retain his/her anonymity. By entering the Horizon Festival ‘Win a Weekend’ Promotion’, the entrant warrants that the submission (and any part thereof) is their own work, or that they have any permissions necessary from the owner of the material to reproduce and distribute the work, and gives permission for Horizon Festival to publish this content through its social media, website, e-Newsletter and/or any printed materials.
Entrants acknowledge that by entering the promotion, Horizon Festival collects and uses entrant’s personal information in accordance with the Sunshine Coast Council Information Privacy Policy Statement available on its website; http:www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au. Without limitation, Sunshine Coast Regional Councillor Horizon Festival may use the participant’s information for future marketing and promotional activities.
10: RELEASE AND INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, all entrants release from, and indemnify Horizon Festival against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the Promotion including (but not limited to) loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
11: NO CORRESPONDENCE
All decisions and actions of Horizon Festival relating to the Promotion and/or redemption of the prizes are exercised at its absolute discretion and are final. No discussions or correspondence with entrants or any other person will be entered into.
