While we really do appreciate the efforts of our members in pointing out when there has been a double post, I would like to ask a favour of you all;  would all members kindly not post comments such as "Sorry, this is already posted here.. <link>" in posts by newer members, please?

I ask this because we would dearly like to encourage the newer members to post, if they feel so inclined, and we all know how frustrating it is to finally get the gumption to post one up, only to find that it's been double posted.  Embarassed

Please, by all means, point out to the new member that they have double posted, but if you could do so by pm, and only post that you have pm'd the member please?  This is so that everyone else knows that you've dont this, and the new member doesn't get bombarded with pm's all saying the same thing. Laughing  If you could please word your pms something along the lines of; you've noticed and appreciate their efforts, and do they know how to use the search function box at the top left of the forum?  Would they like some helpful advice and direction for posting up comps?  You could also direct them to the "Mentors available" thread here:

http://compingclub.com/index.php?topic=67787.0

For the purpose of this exercise, all posts in the threads that do point out a double post, will be removed. Smile

Could everyone also not post directions for mods to merge the posts in the actual thread too please?  While this is appreciated also, these often get missed for days, or completely. Shocked
It would be more helpful if you could post the two links for the comps to be merged in the "Comps to be moved, merged, closed, linked to calendar" thread where it's more likely to be picked up and actioned. Smile   That thread can be found here:

http://compingclub.com/index.php?topic=252237

Your understanding and help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.  Smile  Let's continue to make this forum a great place to comp and show our newer members just how fantastic a bunch of comp addicts we are!  cheers  Let's encourage our newer members to feel comfortable being here, happy to contribute, and let's give them that helping hand that we all need when we're the New Comper on the Block!  Mr.Red

Thanks everyone. Blow Kiss  flower

The trouble with people lying to you because they think you're stupid, is that they're stupid enough to think you're that stupid in the first place.
