Redcliffe First Settement Festival and Superboat Grand Prix is held over 2 days on Saturday 18 September at the Scarborough Boat Harbour and Jamieson Park and at the Redcliffe Foreshore on Sunday 19 September. This year the theme is convicts.

In 2010 the festival will have something for everyone and every taste bud from Saturday’s new cooking demonstrations to Sunday’s street celebration. Blending the past, present and future, this festival is an exciting action-packed weekend full of interactive and creative activities for everyone.

Minimum Age – One entry per person/household for the duration of the competition.
Limitation of entry – Entry into the competition is limited to the number of entries specified in Schedule 3 (if so specified)

Winner selection date and time – Winners will be advised during the 4KQ Breakfast Show (Monday – Friday, 5.30- 9am)

Winner selection publication details:  All contestants acknowledge as a condition of entry that 4KQ has the right to publicise or broadcast his / her name, character, likeness, voice on all matters incidental therein.  All contest winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by 4KQ and acknowledge that 4KQ has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. THE PROMOTER:

This competition is promoted by 4KQ

2. PROMOTION DATES:

This competition commences on the date specified in Schedule 1 and ends on the date as specified in Schedule 2.

3. WHO MAY ENTER:

The only persons who may enter and be awarded prizes are those who have attained the age specified in Condition 3 (if so specified), who are not:

those who have not already won a major or minor prize in the same competition

employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter or any of its agencies involved with this competition; or

the spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household).

iii)        contestants who have won a prize/prizes valued either individually or collectively at $200 or more from the Promoter or in any contest run by the Promoter in the prior 30 days.

iv)        they are discovered to have used or attempted to use any more than one name on order to qualify to win any contest run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name.

v)         they have won a prize valued at $1,000 or more from the Promoter or in any contest run by the Promoter in the prior 90 days.

they have won a prize valued at $5,000 or more from the Promoter or in any contest run by the Promoter in the prior 12 months.

contestants who have won a prize/prizes valued either individually or collectively at $500 or more from the Promoter or in any contest run by the Promoter in the prior 60 days

One entry/winner per person/household for the duration of the competition.

All contestants acknowledge that the Promoter can rely on Clause 3 (Who may Enter) and even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person.  Return of the prize or payment of its value to the Promoter can be required by the Promoter if this occurs.

4. LIMITATIONS ON ENTRY:

Entry into the competition is limited to the number of entries specified in Schedule3 (if so specified).  – Cost of entry is decided by cost of phone call from a local or mobile phone.

Attempts to exceed this limitation by use of more than one name will invalidate all entries made by the person in breach of this limitation. 4KQ reserves the right to disallow a prizewinner if he/she is found to be in breach of these Conditions of Entry.

5. PRIZE:

All prize items are valued inclusive of GST and the Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in item values.  Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that winner.
