Brisbane’s professional improvised comedy show, IMPRO GLADIATORS, is back for a limited season at the Sit Down Comedy Club. Every Wednesday night from April 1st, will see Brisbane's wittiest comedian/actor hybrids go head to head in a battle to bring the funny. Armed with audience suggestions and shielded by their lack of shame, this group of improvising professionals compete for the glory of off-the-cuff master. Improvised comedy has been growing in popularity over the last few years with the success of TV shows like Network 10’s ‘Thank God You’re Here and The Comedy Channel’s ‘Who’s Line is it Anyway’. In fact, one of the stars of ‘Who’s Line’, Wayne Brady is about to tour to Brisbane with his own semi-improvised show. In Impro Gladiators, stimulus for individual scenes is drawn from audience suggestions and the performers have less than 5 seconds to get onstage and start working it. Drawing from music, comedy, drama and dance, the performers will present scenes of limitless imagination often as fresh as that very day’s headlines. The cast dauntlessly taking to the stage this season includes: + Louise Brehmer and Adam Couper Brisbane theatre icons and International Theatresports Champions + Tom Dunstan Two-time NSW Theatresports champion Impro Gladiators kicks off on Wednesday nights with a limited season from September 1 at the Sit Down Comedy Club at 8:00pm.
