It's the 1920's and Lydia Aspern is desperate to experience a bit of life and is more than happy to keep the quartet of men who desire her hanging on changing in the process from a shy young ingenue to something of a manipulator. Meanwhile her actions create major dramas for the one man who really loves her, writer Edward Richardson (played by Christoper Blake). It's a wonderfully strong and entertaining series and watch out too for roles for then up and coming Jeremy Irons and Peter Davison. The five disc set features all thirteen episodes.
