Win a Sleepy Wrap and Milk-Saver (http://www.kidsinaustralia.com.au/userfiles/image/Articles/shopping%20sleepy%20wrap%20pic.JPG) It can be really difficut choosing a baby carrier these days with so many out there. I have 3 children and each one has been carried with different types of carriers and I have to say that the Sleepy Wrap has by far been the best! The wrap comes in a little bag that can be put into your nappy bag or just in the car for transporting around while you aren't using it. They also provide you with a handy little booklet to show you how to wear the wrap and the variety of ways you can carry your baby which i thought was a excellent idea. I found it is a good idea to practice putting the wrap on before baby arrives so you can give yourself a few practice goes. I would also suggest putting the wrap on before leaving home as it just makes it easier once you are out to pop baby into the wrap and off you go. In saying that once you get use to putting the wrap on you can get quicker at it and putting it on while out won't take as long. . After my 2nd baby was born almost 13weeks premature I learnt and practised a lot of skin to skin contact and baby wearing which was both important for bonding and health reasons for myself and my daughter. It was such a beautiful experience to have my baby so close to me that I knew straight away that when my 3rd baby came along I wanted to make sure I had a suitable item to carry him in that supported all the things I had learnt 4.5 years earlier. My pregnancy this time around was considered high risk and I had a high chance of having a premmie baby again so I had the wrap in my bag ready to take to hospital with me. Lucky for us we were able to make it to 37weeks gestation and our little boy was born over 7lbs. So even though I didn't use the wrap with my own prem baby I would totally urge any families out there who have a prem baby to purchase one of the sleepy wrap as it is fantastic and I could really see how using it with your early baby or full term baby would be very beneficial for both the baby and those using the excellent product. My baby boy is now almost 2months old and I have used the sleepy wrap in numerous locations including around our home, shopping, weekend activities including auskick & dance with the big kids and even to a doctors appointment. I have also breastfed while using the sleepy wrap which was a lovely experience too. The fabric is really soft and it is easy to adjust so getting baby into position or changing positions is easy as well. I love how safe and secure my baby was straight away in this carrier and I felt comfortable to use it totally hands free. I also am really happy with how my back feels during and after using the wrap. I had a c-section and have suffered from some back pain in general but I find with the wrap the weight seems to be distributed evenly when carrying baby. I actually feel like it makes my posture better using it. I really feel that this is a fantastic product that provides benefits to both baby and the parents and would recomend it to anyone having a baby.
