Living the Lifestyle 2010 – Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. By entering the promotion,
entrants accept these Conditions of Entry.
2. The promotion is known as “Living the Lifestyle 2010 promotion”.
3. The promotion commences at 12.01am AEDT on 20th August 2010 and closes 23.59pm AEDT on 20th
November 2010 (“Promotion Period”).
4. Entry is only open to current AUSTAR residential subscribers who are subscribed to the Living Option and
continue to subscribe until the draw date. All employees and immediate family of AUSTAR employees, its
distributors, participating outlets, external auditors, platforms, and agencies connected with this
promotion are not eligible for this draw.
5. To be automatically entered, subscribers must be an active subscriber to the Living Option. Subscribers
will receive a 2nd automatic entry to the competition if they are also an active subscriber to the AUSTAR
magazine during the promotional period. Subscribers will receive a 3rd automatic entry into the
competition if the go online and complete a preference data form (www.austar.com.au/lifestyle) during
the promotional period. Customers must be active with AUSTAR & the Living Option at the time of draw
to be eligible for their first entry.
6. Customers can complete their details in the online form as many times as desired, however, only 1 entry
will be eligible as the 3rd automatic entry in the draw.
7. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of the entries and disqualify entrants who do not
comply with these terms and conditions.
8. This competition is one of random draw. All eligible entries at time of draw will form part of this random
draw. Draw will take place at 12.00pm AEST/AEDT on Friday 10th December 2010 at Mike Da Silva &
Associates (Aust) P/L, 15 Grosvenor Street, Neutral Bay NSW 2089.
9. The first 18 valid entries drawn will each receive a Kitchen Aid stand-mixer valued at $729 RRP each. The
maximum retail value of the total prize pool is $13122 (GST inclusive).
10. All winners will be notified by phone, in writing and published on the AUSTAR website at austar.com.au on
15th December 2010 , and will also be published in The Australian newspaper on Friday 17th December
2010.
11. The Promoter’s decision in all matters is final and binding.
12. If the prize is unclaimed, a second chance draw will be held at the same time and place as the original draw
on 29th April 2011 subject to any written directions given under state regulations. The winner of the
second chance draw will be notified by phone, in writing and published on the AUSTAR website at
austar.com.au and in The Australian newspaper on 6th May 2011.
13. The prize is non refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. The promoter reserves
the right to substitute any portion of the prize with a prize of the same nature and value, if that portion of
the original prize is not available, subject to state department approvals.
14. No responsibility accepted for late, misdirected or entries not received due to a technical problem.
15. Private information about entrants will be governed by the AUSTAR Customer Agreement. Further
information about how personal information will be handled including entrants’ rights to seek access to
personal information that we hold about them can be found in AUSTAR’s privacy statement which is
