Win one of ten copies of Kids Welcome to Queensland.

Anyone who has travelled with children will know that it can be as challenging as it is rewarding. Ignoring the repeated pleas of ‘’are we there yet?’’ in itself can be a test of human endurance.

Sarah Pye knows all too well the challenges faced by parents travelling with children, and has created a survival guide to make the experience easier. Kids Welcome to Queensland is a must-have for the glove box of every family car. Filled with detailed information about kid-friendly locations and activities across Queensland, it is sure to be a much-used reference for frustrated parents.

The book is divided into seven easy-to-read regional sections – Tully to Tip, Castaway Coast, Dingo Drive, Out and About, Surf and Turf, City and Stone and Green and Gold. Each of these sections lists the kid-friendly activities, beaches, playgrounds, attractions and even accommodation options available in the region, and rates their age-appropriateness with a cute traffic light system – red for preschool, amber for primary and green for teens.

Rather than include exact prices, Kids Welcome to Queensland uses dollar signs to indicate the price – the fewer dollar signs ($) there are, the cheaper it is. Kids Welcome to Queensland author Sarah Pye has spent most of her life travelling, and came up with the idea of producing a book when she noticed a lack of information when travelling with her own daughter.

Kids Welcome to Queensland is available in RACQ outlets and costs $24.95 for non-members and $21.95 for members.

RACQ is giving 10 lucky readers the chance to win a copy of the book.
