    The lucky winner of Tourism Tasmania Falls Festival Photographic Competition will have the chance to get up close and personal with the bands at this year’s Festival as Tourism Tasmania’s Official Falls Festival Photographer!

    The winner will receive two tickets to The Falls Music and Arts Festival Marion Bay as well as a photo pit pass! For those travelling from outside Tassie, Tourism Tasmania are kindly kicking in for your car hire, flights and accom*. Your Falls Festival photo journal will be published on the official Falls Festival website and Tourism Tasmania will display a gallery of the winner’s images and feature your story on Tasmanian Experiences* (www.experiences.discovertasmania.com).

Contest Instructions

    To enter, upload your favourite Marion Bay photos via our uploader. Your photo MUST have been taken in either Marion Bay or at The Falls Music and Arts Festival Marion Bay.

    Throughout the competition period, visitors to the Falls Festival Facebook page will be able to vote for their favourite photo.

    The top 5 entries, as voted by the public, will be entered into the final round of voting, where the winner will be judged by the Festival Promoter and Tourism Tasmania.

Tourism Tasmania Falls Festival Photographic Competition

Entry into the Tourism Tasmania Falls Festival Photographic Competition is subject to the following terms and conditions.
Terms & Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prize details forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.
2. Prize value is up to approximately $1800 and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. The winner will win two tickets to The Falls Music and Arts Festival Marion Bay, one photo pit pass for the Festival and car hire in accordance with clause 5ii. If the winner lives outside of Tasmania, subject to clause 5i, The Crown in Right of Tasmania (“Crown”) will provide one return flight, up to a set value, to Hobart for the winner and two nights accommodation. Subject to clause 9, the winning photo journal will be published on the official The Falls Music and Arts Festival website, The Falls Music and Arts Festival Facebook page and Tourism Tasmania website.
3. All entrants must have taken their submission photo themselves. It is expressly forbidden to submit the work of another photographer. All entrants warrant that any use by the Crown and Ashlorien Management Pty Ltd (Ashlorien) of photos submitted by the entrant will not infringe the Intellectual Property Rights or Moral Rights of any third party.
4. All submitted photos must have been taken either in and around Marion Bay, Tasmania, or on site at The Falls Music and Arts Festival Marion Bay. Any photos deemed to contain inappropriate content will be immediately removed without explanation
5. The Crown agrees to provide the following components of the Prize:
(i) if the Prize Winner does not ordinarily reside in Tasmania:
(A) one (1) adult return economy airfare (to the value of $800) to Hobart, Tasmania from the Australian capital city (or closest Australian capital city) to which the Prize Winner has their principal place of residence;
(B) a total of two (2) night’s standard accommodation with one night to be taken immediately before and one night to be taken immediately after the Festival. The accommodation venue will be selected by the Crown in its absolute discretion after consultation with Ashlorien. For the avoidance of doubt the Crown’s obligation will be limited to the cost of procuring a standard or base room only. The Prize Winner will be responsible for all incidentals or other costs or expenses incurred by the Prize Winner such as telephone call charges; mini-bar, food and beverage and/or entertainment costs; or any other costs or expenses which are not included in standard or base room rate.
(ii). The Crown will provide standard car hire for the period commencing one day before and concluding one day after the Event subject to the following conditions:
(A) the car will be from a reputable car hire company (“the Car Hire Company”) and be of a make, model and hire plan selected by the Crown in its absolute discretion after consultation with Ashlorien;
(B) any insurance, petrol or related car hire costs (including any surcharges, upgrade costs or late fees) associated with the car hire shall be the responsibility of the Prize Winner;
( C) the Crown and Ashlorien will not be responsible or liable for any of the matters detailed in paragraphs (a), (b) or ( c) of clause 6 arising from or attributable to the use of the Car by the Prize Winner or a third party;
(D) the Prize Winner will be required to enter into and comply with the Car Hire Company’s standard terms and conditions and any relevant car hire documents;
(E) the Crown and Ashlorien make no warranties as to the quality, suitability, road worthiness or safety of the hire car. For the avoidance of doubt, if the Prize Winner’s principle place of residence is in Tasmania they shall only be entitled to the standard car hire component of the Prize detailed in clause 5 (ii) and the Festival tickets detailed in clause 2.
(iii). If the Competition Winner’s principle place of residence is outside of Tasmania then they shall be entitled to the Competition Prize components detailed in clauses 5. (i) and 5 (ii).
The Falls Music and Arts Festival tickets include one unpowered camping site, and the entrant is welcome to set up camp on site for the duration of the Festival. Camping equipment is not supplied.

6.
i) To the full extent permitted by Law, the Competition Entrant and Prize Winner indemnifies Ashlorien & the Crown against all present and future legal liability,
claims, or proceedings for:
(a) personal injury to, or death to the Prize Winner, a Competition Entrant
or a third party;
(b) either or both loss of, or damage to, property of the Prize Winner, a
Competition Entrant or a third party; and
© financial loss of the Prize Winner, a Competition Entrant or a third party;
sustained or arising, whether directly or indirectly, as a consequence of the a Competition Entrant’s participation in the Competition; or arising or attributable to the Prize Winner taking any component of the Competition Prize.

ii) The indemnities in clause 6i):
(a) are continuing obligations of the Competition Entrant or Prize Winner, separate and independent from any other obligations; and
(b) survive the termination of this Agreement.

7. The winner agrees to at all times abide by any instructions given by the Festival Promoters, Festival Publicist, Production Manager or Security and sign the Festival’s Photographer Agreement form to obtain a photo pass. A failure to do so will result in confiscation of the winner’s photo pass.
8. The winner agrees to a briefing session with the Festival Publicist prior to the event
9. This competition is a game of skill. The public will vote for their favourite photo, with the highest ranked 5 photos going into a final round of voting. The top 5 photos, as voted for by the public, will be judged by the Promoter, who will select the final winner
10. All entries should try to capture the spirit of Marion Bay or The Falls Music and Arts Festival and must meet Ashlorien and Tourism Tasmania’s standards for publication. All entries will be screened by the Promoter prior to publication for Public Voting. If the Promoter feels an entry doesn’t accurately represent The Falls Music and Arts Festival it will not be published on the entry page, and no explanation will be provided.
11. The winner and their guest must be aged 18 years or over
12. The winner will be notified by email.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize or disqualify an entrant if they believe the photographic work is not that of the entrant, or if they believe the voting system has been tampered with
14. By submitting a photo, the entrant is granting Ashlorien, The Falls Music and Arts Festival and the Crown perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free worldwide license (including the right to sublicense) to use, reproduce, distribute and otherwise use the images for any The Falls Music and Arts Festival or Tourism Tasmania marketing materials, promotional materials and editorial.
15. The winner agrees to be interviewed by the Crown, with the resulting interview being used in Tourism Tasmania marketing materials
