By entering, entrants accept these conditions. 2 Entry is open only to Australian residents aged 18 years or over excluding directors, officers, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, officers, management and employees) of the Promoter or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition. 3 The competition begins at 12.01am AEST on 29 November 2010 and ends at 11.59pm AEST on 9 January 2011(Competition Period). 4 To enter, entrants must, during the Competition Period, visit the Thirsty Camel website at www.thirstycamel.com.au (Website), register to participate in the competition and fully complete and submit the online entry form (including by entering the relevant promotional word as requested). By entering this competition, entrants will also be automatically registered as a Thirsty Camel website member. 5 Entrants may only enter this competition once. The Promoter is not liable for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence due to error, omission, tampering, deletion, theft, communications failure or otherwise. The Promoter has no control over communications networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The first 10 valid entries randomly drawn from all entries received will win a prize. 7 There are 10 prizes to be won. The prize is 1 x Thirsty Camel Gift card valued at $50 (inc GST). Thirsty Camel gift cards can be used to purchase goods from any Thirsty Camel retail venue nationally, The prizes are subject to any additional conditions specified by the Promoter and/or prize supplier. 8 The total prize pool is valued at $500.00 (inc GST). 9 The prize winners must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material. 10 All winners will be notified in writing and by telephone and winners of prizes valued over $250 for VIC winners or over $500 for NSW winners will have their name and state/territory of residence published in The Australian on Friday 14th January 2011. By entering this competition, each entrant requests that his or her full address not be published. 11 The Promoter may require winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion. 12 If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of that prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry in accordance with paragraph 6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. Where a prize or an element of a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that prize or that element another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities in each state and territory, where required. 14 Where the prize includes attendance at a show or event, if the show or event is abandoned, called off or postponed for any reason, the winner/s forfeits all rights to attend the show or event and no cash or alternative tickets will be substituted in lieu. 15 If a prize is not accepted or claimed within 3 months of the draw date, the relevant winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to conduct an unclaimed prize draw on Monday 14 March 2011 at the same time and at the same location as the original draw, subject to any written directions given by any relevant authority. In this draw, any VIC winners of prizes valued over $250 or NSW winners of prizes valued over $500 will have their name and state/territory of residence published in The Australian on Friday 18 March 2011. 16 The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). 17 Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage or delay in transit to prizes. 18 The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent or effect of annoying, abusing, threatening or harassing any other person. 19 If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities in each state and territory, where required. 20 The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings.
