Full Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter this Promotion and prizes that can be won in this Promotion form part
of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the Promotion is deemed to constitute acceptance of these
Terms and Conditions. This offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years of age or over only. Directors, officers and
employees (and their immediate families) of Samsung Electronics Australia Pty Ltd ABN 63 002 915
648 ("Promoter"), Channel 9, printers, suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this
Promotion and the Samsung Mobile AFI Awards are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means
any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by
adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother,
sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin. Any entrant under the age of 18 years must obtain prior
permission from a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18 years to enter this Promotion. If a
winner is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s legal parent or legal
guardian.
3. The Promotion commences at 9:00 am (AEDST) on 5 December and concludes at 11:59 pm
(AEDST) on 19 December 2010 ("Promotional Period"). SMS lines will only be opened during the
Promotional Period. All votes received outside the Promotional Period will be deemed invalid.
4. To enter and register for this Promotion, entrants must during the Promotional Period, SMS the
keywords (being "Samsung Galaxy Tablet"), the entrant's full name, address (including State or
Territory and postcode) and contact telephone number to 1991 9909.

5. Multiple entries will be accepted during the Promotional Period and each entry must be submitted
in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
6. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
7. Maximum SMS entries cost is A$0.55 including GST per entry. The SMS entry mechanic is only
open to entrants with compatible mobile telephone connected to a mobile telephone carrier which
allows premium rate services. Entrants are encouraged to contact their mobile telephone carrier to
confirm eligibility of premium telephone services and associated costs. Entrants must ensure that all
care is taken when sending messages to the premium rate SMS number. SMS service is managed by
eSUS Communications Pty Ltd ABN 14 119 010 623.
8. By entering the Promotion via SMS, entrants consent to the Promoter using their personal details
for the purposes of sending one (1) mobile terminated reply message which includes a confirmation of
the entrant's entry in the Promotion and may include details of a special offer (to be determined in the
Promoter's sole discretion) made by the Promoter.
9. There are three (3) prizes available to be won in the prize draw detailed below, being one (1) major
prize and two (2) runner up prizes:
- The major prize winner will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tablet and the chance to chat online with AFI
Awards host Shane Jacobson. The major prize is valued at up to A$2,000.00.
- Runner up winners one (1) and two (2) will each receive a Samsung Galaxy Tablet valued at
A$1,000.00.
Total prize pool is valued at up to A$4,000.00.
10. The prize draw will take place at 10:00 am (AEDST) on 20 December 2010 at the offices of eSUS
Communications Pty Ltd, 30 Aberfeldy Close, Charlestown, NSW 2290. Only entries received during
the Promotional Period will be entered into the prize draw. The winners will be contacted by
representative of Stoke Agency Pty Limited ABN 74 122 547 406 by telephone, and winner’s names
will be published in The Australian Newspaper on 23 December 2010.
11. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time the SMS entry is received. No responsibility will
be taken for late or lost, misdirected, incomplete entries. The Promoter makes no guarantee of the
availability of the web services and will not be held responsible for interruption of service that may
interfere with the ability to participate in this Promotion.
12. Stoke Agency Pty Limited will manage the distribution of the prizes including confirmation of date
in which the major winner will chat online with Shane Jacobson. The major winner must be connected
to the internet to participate in this Promotion, at no expense to the Promoter. Stoke Agency Pty
Limited will arrange for delivery of the physical prizes within 28 days of announcing the winners. The
physical prizes will be delivered to the addresses advised by the winners at time of notification. It is
the responsibility of the winners to be available to receive the delivery as organised by Stoke Agency
Pty Limited and notified to the winners. The winners are responsible for ensuring correct contact and
address details are provided to the Promoter and any updated details are notified to the Promoter.
The Promoter and Stoke Agency Pty Limited accept no responsibility should a winner fail to receive
their physical prize, because of a failure to notify the Promoter of the change to these details.
13. Standard Samsung Galaxy Tablet Terms and Conditions apply. It is the responsibility of the
winner to complete and register Samsung Galaxy Tablet user warranties where required. All
expenses associated with internet connection, SIM, all contracts, upgrades and downloads are at the
winners' expense.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to request a winner to provide proof of age, identity and residency
at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the
discretion of the Promoter.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who
tampers with the entry process, or who submits an entry/claim which is not in accordance with these
Terms and Conditions. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not
constitute a waiver of those rights.
16. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from acceptance of
the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought prior to entering the Promotion.
17. Prizes must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. The prize values include GST and are in
Australian dollars and is correct at 5 December at 09:00 am (AEDST). The Promoter accepts no
responsibility for any variation in prize values. If a prize or part of is unavailable, for whatever reason,
the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to
any written directions from any relevant government departments (NSW and ACT).
18. A prize is not transferable to another person or exchangeable on other products of the Promoter.
A prize cannot be redeemed as cash. Unused portions of a prize will be forfeited and no
compensation will be paid in lieu of that element of the prize.
19. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the Promotion is final and binding on every
person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. The Promoter and its associated agencies, and companies associated with this Promotion will
take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
21. If a prize remains unclaimed at 12:00 pm (AEDST) on 19 March 2011, a second chance draw will
be held at the offices of eSUS Communications Pty Ltd, 30 Aberfeldy Close, Charlestown, NSW 2290
at 1:00 pm (AEDST) on 19 March 2011, subject to any written directions given under applicable law.
The second chance winner will be contacted via telephone and mail and published in The Australian
Newspaper on 21 March 2011.
22. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including,
but not limited to, indirect, consequential loss and loss of profit) or for any personal injury suffered or
sustained in connection with any prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The
Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information
communicated in the course of or in connection with this Promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by
any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter including, but not limited to, technical
malfunctions or failures.
23. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter
has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other
improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The
Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are
reserved.
24. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that
permits the entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted
by that entrant invalid.
25. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Entries will not be returned to any entrant. The
Promoter collects personal information about entrants to enable entrants to participate in this
Promotion. Use of such information will be in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. To
facilitate the Promotion, and the entrants' participation, the Promoter may disclose personal
information of an entrant or entrants to other companies associated with this Promotion. By entering
this Promotion unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this
information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes (including advising
entrants of special sales, specific promotional events and other special offers) without any further
reference, payment, or other compensation to the entrant including sending the entrant electronic
messages. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments
and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access,
update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.

26. The entrant agrees to participate and co-operate with the Promoter as required in all editorial and
promotional activities relating to the Promotion, including, but not limited to, being interviewed and
photographed for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome), and promoting
any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter for an unlimited period of
time without remuneration. Each winner also agrees to grant to the Promoter a perpetual and
exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and each winner will
not be entitled to any fee for such use.
27. Each winner may be required to execute a Deed of Acknowledgement, Release and Indemnity in
a form prescribed by the Promoter, at the Promoter's discretion.
28. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to,
infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures,
malfunction of any telephone network or line, providers or any other causes beyond the control of the
Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of
this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by
law to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel this Promotion.
