CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Conditions of Entry.  Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 years or over.  Employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, participating retailers, suppliers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
Promotion commences on 20/09/10 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on 18/02/11 (“Promotional Period”).
To be eligible to enter, individuals must, during the Promotional Period, purchase any product from a Paddy Pallin store nationally or online at www.paddypallin.com.au. To enter, individuals must then during the Promotional Period either:
For purchases made in store complete their details on the official entry form (available at the point of purchase) and place  their completed entry form in the entry box available at participating Paddy Pallin stores; 
For purchases made online an entry form will be mailed to the entrant with their order. Online entrants must complete their details on the entry form and return it to either a participating Paddy Pallin store or mail it to: PADDY PALLIN WIN A TRIP TO THE YUKON, Paddy Pallin 184 Adderley St, Auburn, NSW 2144; or
For purchases made either in store or online visit www.canada.travel/paddypallin, input the requested details including the receipt number (as shown on the purchase receipt) and submit the fully completed online entry form. 
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
Only one (1) entry permitted per person.
Entrants must retain their original purchase receipt as proof of purchase. Failure to produce the proof of purchase when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of an entrant’s entry and forfeiture of any right to a prize. Purchase receipt must clearly specify the store of purchase and that the purchase was made during the Promotional Period but prior to entry.
The draw will take place at Paddy Pallin, 184 Adderley St, Auburn, NSW 2144 on 25/02/11 at 2.00pm AEST.  The winner will be notified first by phone and then by mail and their name will be published in The Australian on 04/03/11.  The winner’s name will also be published on the website of Paddy Pallin at www.paddypallin.com.au.  The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The first valid entry drawn will win their choice of tour for two (2) adults for either: (i) a Lake Laberge to Carmacks tour (an eight 8 day guided canoe tour on the Yukon river (The Classic Yukon River Tour); OR (ii) a Trekking Chilkoot Trail Tour (a seven (7) day guided trekking tour on Chilkoot Trail (Stampeders Route). Either tour is valued at up to AUD$10,000 depending on date and point of departure.  Either Tour will include return economy airfares from winner's nearest capital city to Whitehorse, Canada; return airport to Whitehorse transfers; and one (1) night minimum 3 star  hotel twin share accommodation in Whitehorse (pre tour).;. All meals whilst camping on tour are provided. Winner acknowledges that the tour will involve camping and there will be no serviced accommodation available during the tour. Spending money, additional meals, taxes, insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transport to and from departure point, additional transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included.
Prize is valid for two departure dates for each tour. July 6 or July 27 2011 for the Stampeders Route Trekking the Chilkoot Trail tour and 13 July or 3  August 2011 for The Classic Yukon River canoe tour. The prize must be taken on one of these departure dates and is subject to availability. The prize cannot be changed once the booking has been confirmed by the Promoter or its agents with the prize winner.
Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. Winner may be required to present credit card at time of accommodation check in.
Paddy Pallin will pass winners details to the Canadian Tourism Commission and Yukon Tourism and a booking form must be completed and signed by the winner and travelling companion acknowledging the terms and conditions of the their participation.
Total prize pool is valued at up to AUD$10,000.  Prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for alternative products or services or redeemed for cash.  The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value.
The prize winner must be fit for travel as indicated by a fitness form signed by a certified physician.
The winner and travelling companion must travel at the same time.
Unless otherwise provided, if the prize or a part of the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize or the portion of the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any applicable law.
In the event of the prize not being claimed within 3 months of the draw date, an unclaimed prize draw will be conducted at the same time and place as the original draw on 25/05/11 in order to distribute the prize subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.  In the event of a winner in the unclaimed prize draw, they will be notified by mail and their name will be published in The Australian on 01/06/11.
Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) if the either tour is cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (f) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (g) use of the prize.
