Title: I won $10,000! Post by: Jonas on Wednesday 15 December 2010, 06:57:59 pm I need advice, I think I may have won $10,000 but im not sure.
Someone left a voicemail (the first 10 seconds of which got converted really badly to text by Telstra) on my phone which reads: "Hello Jonas, Im calling from U O R S C T to let you know that you've Won the 10 thousand dollar price in the Para time ____ back competition" then i assume the rest of the message was cut off. Can anyone help me to find the competition? Ive looked through the calendar for december and cant find any that it might be. The Telstra voice conversion is pretty dodgy at the best of times, so it could be from any competition. Has anyone had any experience with winning this kind of money and could advise if this would be a way that they would inform me or should i look at this as a scam/spam of somesorts. I have not received any emails regarding the subject, I guess i'm hoping they'll call back. any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated, Jonas. Title: Re: I won $10,000! Did your try calling the number back? Usually the converted text have a number attached. If you have compfolio, run a search on closed comps that have been marked entered with the value of $10000 or more Title: Re: I won $10,000! If you were running your own search it would be easier as you would also select give me only the ones I have entered. I won $20,000 a year ago and they told me on the phone.

Don't know if this helps you Jonas, but hope it does.

All signs seem to be pointing towards $10000 worth of flights :) Im trying not to get too excited but secretly I cant wait to find out, I havent seen my cousins or grandparents who live in europe in over 10 years. I have been comping for about a year and a half now (I usually only enter the non-purchase ones) and have had a few little wins (movie tickets, cds etc.), a few decent wins (an ipod, a phone, video games, cash) and now finally a major prize ($10,000 in flights!) which is the best christmas present I could ever have asked for! I hadn't won anything in a little while and was kinda slowing down on entering comps but this has definitely made me want to continue (and has prompted many of my friends to want to start up!). I hope it inspires some new compers and people those who havent won in a while to just keep at it, you never know whats just around the corner. I just wanted to add that when I first joined up I thought that comping forums would potentially be full of spiteful people who are all ripping at each others throats to win prizes, but I have been very pleasantly surprised. ACC is full of lovely and encouraging people who are nothing but happy when anyone from this community wins anything. Its such a great place to come to at the end of a hard day and I love being a part of it. :santa: Merry Christmas to all you lovely fellow ACCers and I wish you all many wins for 2011!
