http://www.jewishnews.net.au/win-a-tickling-leo-dvd/ Win a Tickling Leo DVD The 2009 independent drama from director Jeremy Davidson Tickling Leo follows the story of a Jewish family whose silence has kept them apart. Zak and his girlfriend Delphina visit his estranged father – a haunted poet – at a lake house in the Catskills, where they find him suffering from dementia and inadvertently unearth a long-held family secret. With a cast that includes Lawrence Pressman and Eli Wallach, the film unfolds into a poignant and intimate study that traverses three generations of a painful family story, the key event of which stems from the Kasztner train rescue of beleaguered Hungarian Jews in 1943. Writer/director Davidson finds fidelity in dramatising the attachments of long-buried family history and the legacy of survival. According to New York’s Village Voice, “Davidson handles the material with candour, sensitivity and a goodness and mercy.” Accent Film and The Australian Jewish News have five Tickling Leo DVDs to give away to readers.
